My father is Chairman of the Democratic Party in a fairly large city/county. He is a successful, self-made business men. He actually agrees with me on most issues but would never admit what his party has become.

When we switched parties, we sashayed(well I sashayed, hubby doesn't go in for that) down to the courthouse and changed the D to an R on our registration cards. The lady that handed us our new cards, smiled, winked, and said welcome aboard. I'll never forget that.
I came very close this past Sunday when we were at the Union Street Fair in San Francisco and the Republicans had a booth for Registering people (yes, in SAN FRANCISCO) I was very tempted, but opted for a nice smile at them instead. Couldn't believe it, but we went by three different times, and no one was harassing them!! Maybe that in itself is a good sign. (PS glad to hear that your husband doesn't go in for sashaying....mine doesn't either, which is lucky since we're from San Francisco!)

It would make for great theatre, but, it's really quite sad for a group of blacks to pull something like this against her. Look, I understand the DC Circuit is the second most powerful court, but, JRB would be but ONE judge on the court. The CBC ought to be ashamed of their foolishness.

I think there is a very remote possibility the klansman votes Aye. He'll have plenty of cover, lots of other white male votes going against her. But it is possible he votes Aye.

I understand. All of my ancestors were Democrats. They must be turning in their graves with the way the dims have turned leftist, and I have become a Republican.
Same here. My late grandfather was a die hard liberal and union member. My father told me the other day Bush stole 2 elections. Needless to say I don't talk politics with him!
