I vote for 52-45-3. I'm not as optimistic as all of you, but I am hoping that there will be enough Democrats voting yes to overcome any ding-dong Republicans, like Snowe, Collins, Voinovich, McCain, Specter.

I predict Landrieu, maybe Nelson of Nebraska, maybe Lieberman, will all vote Aye.

how about a rule that the Senators have to show up for at least 8 hours a day to receive a paycheck for that day.

There already IS one...it's not enforced. Somebody tried to make Kerry/Edwards give back their checks for all the days they didn't bother to come in...didn't work.

Almost the only good thing I can find to say about The Swimmer is that he doesn't pick his up at all.

I like this man, he is just so reasonable! He is right many of us hold the same views as Justice Brown! But the law is the law and it should be followed by the bench not created by the bench!

Yep my Grandpa was a Democrat, but he died in 1979, I doubt that he would be one now. He was more of a Zell Miller type of guy!

I understand. All of my ancestors were Democrats. They must be turning in their graves with the way the dims have turned leftist, and I have become a Republican.

I'll have alot of explaining to do when I see them in the hereafter. :-)
