Good morning, fellow political junkies. I'm starting the thread early, because I'll be out and about for much of the morning. Follow along, and comment here, as usual..

Yes, it was a very good article. Obviously it can't predict the future, but I think so far this deal has worked out okay for the GOP. Nothing lost but a couple of weeks, and two judges gained. (Okay, 1.5 judges until Brown is actually confirmed!)
Obama, Kennedy, Schumer et al. can quit selling me on Judge Brown already. I'm sold.
I'm sick of hearing about George Will!
It's funny, because with a group of Senate Dems that actually honored the Constitution, most of us would have never heard nor paid any attention to Judge Brown. But now that you, me and many others are reading about her quotes and decisions, she's becoming quite the conservative folk hero. :-)
I have to admit after he spoke at the DNC convention .. I was worried about him
He came off as a very smooth talker
But after listening to him on the Senate floor .. that worry is gone
She doesn't rule against minorities---she rules against giving minorities "hand outs" so that they don't do the work necessary to accomplish something, and feel the happiness that comes from doing something for yourself, instead of having people do everything for you...
At least that is what I get out of her reasoning for being against affirmative action and social programs...

I am so glad you posted that about Ginsberg---I had heard that on Laura Ingraham yesterday, and I couldn't remember all of those outrageous thoughts she has put forth...

LOL! I think so. I head to the suburbs at 4:30 and get the heck out of here, so heaven knows what goes on after I leave. Some of these places I'm afraid to even walk into.
