"There is no evidence that King Tut was white," Compton City Attorney Legrand Clegg told the board. "Egypt is on the continent of Africa."
There is CERTAINLY no evidence that Tut was black either. Look at Egypt today. He was probably more Arab looking than anything else.

The Coptic language of old Egypt is a semitic language, therefore, the ancient Egyptians were probably very Mediterranean looking with a strong admixture of negroid characteristics, just like today's Egyptians.

Actually, look at the Coptic people. Tut probably looked more like them. The majority of people in Egypt now are descendants from the Malmuks (sp) that took over the area.

I'd bet he'd look Semitic (Jewish/Lebonese) more than anything.

No kidding. They need to reel it in just a tad.

Lots of Egyptians do not like to be called Arab! Arabs didn't invade until the late 7th century. Tut was probably semitic looking like so many other cultures of the Mediterranean. Later on, in the Alexandrian epoch, lots of blondes from Northern Greece ruled Egypt so there was that mix as well.
The Afrocentrists make all kinds of ridiculous claims.

White and black are relative terms, successfully employed by the racialists to obscure issues.
Negroid and Caucasid are more accurate and Tutankhamun was defintely Caucasoid. Did he look like a Norweigan? Probably not. He probably resembled most north Africans who are dark-skinned Caucasoids.
Some Pharoahs were Negroid, most were not, but an entire dynasty from Kush were.
Ancient Egypt was much like modern Egypt - a multi racial society in which whether or not a person was an Egyptian or a non-Egyptian was far more important than skin pigmentation or the lack of same.
These racialist hucksters should find something more constructive to do with their anger.
