It's my hope that somehow, I will live on North Carolina's Outer Banks, some day.

I hear NC is nice. But we are westerners at heart and will probably stay somewhere in the west.

My family's from eastern NC. I love it there, but, just like everywhere, nothing's the same. The politics in NC are pretty bad these days. Staying in the west, right now I'd probably choose Idaho or Wyoming.
