My family's from eastern NC. I love it there, but, just like everywhere, nothing's the same. The politics in NC are pretty bad these days. Staying in the west, right now I'd probably choose Idaho or Wyoming.
I have to agree with that. Getting old and seeing change, most of it negative, makes me want to hide.
