Some of the 15 radar-evading stealth fighters which the United States is deploying to South Korea have arrived there, a U.S. military spokesman said on Monday.
North Korea has bitterly denounced the deployment of the F-117A Nighthawks in its official media, saying it is part of U.S. plans for an invasion of the reclusive country.
The U.S. Air Force has said the planes, from Holloman Air Force base in New Mexico, are being deployed for training in the region for four months.
But it not clear whether the planes are in addition to the two dozen stealth fighters which the Air Force sent to Kunsan Air Base in South Korea last summer or are part of a regular rotation.
"The deployment has begun but it has not been completed," a U.S. Forces Korea spokesman said.
He did not say when the first batch of planes arrived or when the deployment would be completed.
The deployment comes as tensions are running high with North Korea, which said in February it had nuclear weapons and was boycotting six-party talks aimed at ending its nuclear programs.
The Air Force has said there is no relation between the current turmoil over the North Korean nuclear issue and the deployment of the stealth fighters.
Mind games are the best kinds of games. :-)
Hey, Kim: Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean we're not out to get you!
Not a chance in hell of that happening - A war with N. Korea is the last thing we want at this time -
You jest I hope. A war with North Korea would be a blood bath (on all sides).
"this is what they'll be seeing in the sky over North Korea"
Seems like the libs would be all in favor of an attack on North Korea, since they actually do have WMD. We can expect an out pouring of support from the anti American left, right?
Kim seemingly WANTS a freakin' war. Go talk to him.
Kim's gunners might only get one shot.
While our USAF and USN aircraft could put a huge thumping on North Korea we would in no way take out even half of North Korea's capabilities before they could respond numerous times on South Korea.
You can sh*t in one hand and want in another - See which one fills up first -
We may "want" a quick war with North Korea but that simply isn't going to happen (as a matter of reality) - (we want a quick end to the insurgency in Iraq, hasn't happened. We want UBL dead, hasn't happened.).
Military operations will also have complications. A war with North Korea would have dozens of them.
My material may be dated but, most analysis I've seen take the loss of Seoul as a given. At least, in the early going.
We've been busy the last couple of years pulling all of our forces to positions south of the Han River.
I don't want a shooting war with NK, and actually I don't think it is going to come to that. I think he's going to be undone by his own generals before then.
But if he picks the fight, we have to be ready, and I think we have the means to put the fight in his yard.
Poor Kim J.I. is simply misunderstood:
Artist: Trey Parker Lyrics
Song: I'm So Ronery Lyrics
I'm So Ronery
I'm so ronery
So ronery
So ronery and sadry arone
There's no one
Just me onry
Sitting on my rittle throne
I work very hard and make up great prans
But nobody ristens, no one understands
Seems that no one takes me serirousry
And so I'm ronery
A little ronery
Poor rittre me
There's nobody

Feer rike a bird in a cage
It's kinda sihry
But not rearry
Because it's fihring my body with rage

But nobody here seems to rearize that
When I rure the world maybe they'rr notice me
But untir then I'rr just be ronery
Rittre ronery, poor rittre me

The North Korean media and DU will pick up this photo as real news!
Lagrimas de mi choriso, Kim.
Reclusive -- word used by Reuters to describe brutal communist dictatorships.
PSY-OPS....
I have a feeling if we do decide to do anything, it will be unlike iraq where we issued a statement saying we are going to war.
More than likely we will wake up with president bush giving a statement to the effect of "as of 12 hours ago, north korea has been officially designated the worlds largest and deepest man-made lake"
LoL........
ROTFLMAO
That's a great picture, LOL.
