I think he waited until after he sent in Sandy Berger to stuff the incriminating ones into his shoes and pants and remove them from the records.

I posted on a thread in early 2004 that Kerry had a mole in the DOD who was slowly and surreptitiously sanitizing his file. Looks like the job has been completed, and now the pajama squad has another job to do detecting the alterations and frauds. Of course the MSM won't give any of it any credence.

I couldn't tell from the article. Hopefully there will be some clarification about Mr. Kerry's original separation and discharge from the Navy.
There were suspicions, mine included, that something might have been less-than-honorable.
Ideally, we'll be able to get to the purple heart of the matter.

Releasing them to his confederates at the Globe is hardly full disclosure. Does Jeff Jacoby get a peek?

The records, which the Navy Personnel Command provided to the Globe, are mostly a duplication of what Kerry released during his 2004 campaign for president.....IOW, nothing new.

"The file includes a previously reported reference to Kerry being treated for the wound and that he was awarded the Purple Heart, but it does not address the details of the combat that night. No after-action report for the incident has been found."
Let's tighten that baby up a bit:
"The file includes a...reference to Kerry being treated... t...o...the Purple Heart...but...no...combat...action...has been found."
There, that's better.
I'll buy that this is his 'complete file' right after he issues a 'complete explanation' of why it took him months to sign the 180. This is more redacted horse manure.

Isn't the whole nature of this, denying the public the truth of
the medals he bragged about during the 2004 campaign?
If he was truthful, then what's the problem?

For example, the documents quote Kerry's former commanding officers as saying he is ''one of the finest young officers with whom I have served;" is ''the acknowledged leader of his peer group;" and is ''highly recommended for promotion."
Sory folks, but anybody that took any stock in these statements needs to know that these are generic statements make on virtually all performance evaluations.
Promote at soonest, promote ahead of peers, fine young officer, et al.

There should be copies of a lot of his tasking orders chopping him from one command to another. There should be copies of orders to have him deliver weapons to the Kamer Rouge and to take the CIA officer (the one that gave him the magic hat) across the boarder. No way would those have been just verbal orders. They could be a message but any CO I know would have kept their own copy even if one didn't make it into the service record.

Unless this shows some explanation for the discharge and medal citations issued years after the fact, the record is not complete.
