Steve was a good man and loved by a lot of people. My husband and he worked together at Benning a few years back. When we got stationed here at Bragg, they became even closer friends; his wife has become one of my best friends. Our children often played together. Steve had character beyond reproach and would do anything for his family and friends. Please keep his wife and two sons in your prayers and thoughts. He died doing what he wanted to do, but he will be sorely missed.

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You have promised there will be a time when we never again will mourn .. when all tears will be wiped away. Until that time, O God, we weep for a warrior's passing ... may each tear that falls be an expression of our deepest gratitude for the ultimate sacrifice. Take unto Yourself our countryman, husband and father, son and friend ... Steven M. Langmack. Tend his family, Merciful Father, until such time as they, too, know eternal joy. Walk with them, O God, for You know the way ... comfort them, O God, for their hearts are broken. May the life and death of this young warrior echo throughout the ages in a people at last living free. In the Name of Jesus, we pray, Amen ...

Rangerwife, my wife and family are very thankful to the service of people like your husband and this brave young man KIA recently.
Without our brave troops out in the frontline protecting our country we would not be safe here at home.
GOD bless each and every one of you and yours.
I recently (last week)was traveling from out west, back to the eastcoast. While at a service station and paying for my gas an enlisted AF woman was behind me in line with a large soft drink, I told the cashier the lady's drink was on me and thanked her for her service to protect my family and our country, and asked her to tell her brothers and sisters in arms that we are very thankful for what they are doing.
With tears in my eyes I write.
God bless America and all who serve in harms way. We all owe you more than we can ever pay.
