When I read about the bomb shelters in China, it made me think of tunnels....
The Chinese in the west have dug tunnels for the past 2 hundred years.
In the early days of mining and settling the west, they were singled out for attacking and all manners of evil things were done to them.
Even in Kingman, in old downtown there was still a tunnel said to have been dug by the Chinese.
We have the past couple of years did a lot of research on tunnels and caves.
Calpernia has the best files on the caves.

I love old tunnels and caves. When I was at Columbia U. we used to explore the old coal bunkers that linked all of the original campus buildings. Some of them had grafitti left over from the 60's, others have been locked up since the 40's.
It's strange to think this country is getting old enough to have some techno-archaeological (just coined that word) sites.
