While today could well be an AQ funded job, I doubt those involved know very much.

HANOVER, Md. --
There are reports of a shooting at a business in Anne Arundel County, just north of BWI Airport.
Anne Arundel County police said shots were fired at a BGE office building in Hanover, Md., Thursday afternoon.
Sgt. Shawn Urbas said shots were fired at or in the building in the 7300 block of Parkway Drive. He said a suspect has been shot, but he is not sure of the suspect's condition.
Former Mayor of New York Rudolph Giuliani said the London terror strikes were an "eerie reminder" of 9/11 .
Mr Giuliani, who led the Big Apple through the devastating attacks, said he was only yards away from the first explosion this morning, while on a visit to London. *snip*

Many Suspicious Items Reported
Buildings near the U.S. Treasury are evacuated after the discovery of white powder in an envelope.
After the Thursday-morning bombings in London, a heightened sense of alert was evident around D.C., prompting people to report anything suspicious.
Early Thursday at Union Station, a suspicious package was found next to a Metrobus in the traffic circle. It was seen as a possible security threat to Amtrak and Metro. The bomb squad was called, and it was determined not to be a danger.
At about 9 a.m. in Montgomery County, authorities responded to a number of calls at the NIH Medical Center Metro Station. A box containing electrical components was found in a Metro employee bathroom. Train service bypassed the station for almost an hour. The bomb squad determined the package was harmless.
The area around the botanical gardens on Capitol Hill is evacuated after the discovery of a supicious package.
At about 10 a.m., authorities received a report of an envelope containing white powder near the U.S. Treasury building in Northwest. Area office buildings and restaurants were evacuated, and 15th Street was closed. People were allowed to return about a half-hour later.
And early Thursday afternoon, a suspicious package was found at the botanical gardens on Capitol Hill, causing that area to be evacuated. This package also proved to be harmless.
Authorities said they appreciate the public's help trying to identify potential terror threats, even if that means running to check out suspicious packages that prove to be no danger. They said they would rather be safe than sorry.
Just FYI
King's Cross Station
Euston Road, N1, Tube: King's Cross, Show Map
Although situated in one of London's most notorious drug-pushing districts, both King's Cross Station (along with the even grander St. Pancras) give good insight as to the importance that Britain placed upon its railway system during the Victorian era. Penned by Lewis Cubitt as the Great Northern Railway's London terminus, the station is said to stand on the site of a former smallpox hospital.
Even more intriguingly, it's also believed to be the last resting place of Queen Boudicca following her battle with the Romans in AD61.
And, though the area eventually came to be known as Battle Bridge, a monument erected in the honour of King George IV led to its name being changed to the current "King's Cross". Unfortunately for George, the monument was later removed, although of course, the name stuck.
CNN reporting that timing devices were discovered in the debris.

Neosgirl, from your blog:
>>>Not THE claim, but the translated text of the claim of responsiblity for the London bombs today.
Still searching everywhere I can, but the jihadis are silent about taking responsiblity for this - at least at all the forums I've looked at. They are talking about what happened in London, but I have yet to see the claim post.<<<
Can you please check this link and let me know if this is what you're looking for?

Jailed Cleric Who Plotted To Blow Up Tunnels Still A Concern For NJ
UPDATED: 8:35 pm EDT July 7, 2005
TRENTON, N.J. -- Omar Abdel-Rahman, the blind Muslim cleric convicted a decade ago of plotting to blow up New York City landmarks, remains a concern for New Jersey authorities, wary that his poor health may spur terrorist activity, state Attorney General Peter C. Harvey said Thursday.
Abdel-Rahman is serving a life term in federal prison. But information about the radical Egyptian sheik has been scarce, particularly after his former lawyer, Lynne Stewart, was convicted earlier this year of sneaking messages from him to his disciples.
"It's his followers and also people who adhere to his teachings who concern us. We all have seen information that suggests there could be some activity that surrounds the state of his health, or some worse event that may happen to him. So we have to pay attention to it," Harvey said following a news conference at which state officials discussed beefed up security in New Jersey because of the terrorist bombings in London.
Abdel-Rahman, 67, is serving his sentence in a federal prison hospital facility in Springfield, Mo. A diabetic, the cleric last year waged a hunger strike, shunning his insulin and eating candy to make his condition worse.
Harvey cautioned there wasn't immediate cause for alarm. But he said the situation is something law enforcement needed to be mindful of.
Abdel-Rahman, who preached at a Jersey City mosque, was convicted in 1995 of plotting to assassinate Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and blow up New York landmarks, including the United Nations, two tunnels and a bridge.
He was the spiritual leader for the men convicted in the first World Trade Center attack in 1993.
After his 1993 arrest, prosecutors say, Abdel-Rahman urged followers to rescue him and to kill Americans "wherever you find them."

Michael Savage is really on fire tonight. He's angry at the press because they're all sitting around wringing their hands trying to figure out who did it. He's screaming "does it matter which jihadist group did it, does it really matter"? They're Islamofacists and they all want us dead. What does it matter which AQ group it is.

LOOKS LIKE AL-QAEDA'S WORK: DOWNER
July 08, 2005
THE terrorist bombings in London had all the hallmarks of an al-Qaeda attack, Foreign Minister Alexander Downer said today.
He said while the British authorities were still being cautious about who was responsible for the carnage, in his judgment it was more than likely the work of al-Qaeda.
"It was well co-ordinated, it would have been planned for a long period of time," he told ABC radio in Adelaide.
"You can assume that it was timed to go off to coincide with the G8 summit in Gleneagles.
"It has those characteristics of an al-Qaeda attack."
