Never another word on the bags, but KOA news is about the same as KDWN, headlines and traffic reports.

Welcome home.

NO loud bang?

By now they should know why so many fall out of the sky, near Denver.

Wonder which nut was loosened? Time to check Visa's again.

Hi Ruth. I guess I am the only one here who thinks that certain revenges -- like this one -- are sweet! The french and chirac are crushed by this. First, chirac is handed a defeat with the vote on the EU and now this. I think it is another deserved comeuppance...

I am still smiling ear to ear...I cannot help it!

"I am celebrating!!!!!! I am delirious that france LOST the Olympic bid"

I see the 2012 Olympics as a booby prize not unlike a trojan horse and I was hoping Paris would get it not London.

If the french didn't want it, then it would be a booby prize.

Is it that you are anticipating a terror attack? I guess you are relieved that NY didn't win the bid then.

But if that is the case, then what ever happened to the spirit of not letting the terrorists win?

A poster on another thread said that cbs (if I recall correctly) is busy placing the NYC Olympic loss at the foot of GWB (even though shrillary made the presentation).

I am glad that NYC didn't get it this time around because it has enough to do.

How's this for security folks....I find it disgusting!

http://wusatv9.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=41024

There was a mysterious find in Prince William County.

Two humvees equipped with missile launchers turned up in an industrial park on Farm Creek Drive in Woodbridge.

It turns out truck driver Jack Hill left them there near his home.

Hill tells 9 News he was taking them to Fort Bragg, North Carolina, but was told he would not be allowed to drop them off until Wednesday.

He figured they'd be fine until then. Others disagreed. FBI agents eventually checked out the scene, and soon afterwards the Army ordered the humvees to be moved out, presumably to Fort Bragg.

Worth repeating DC!

Folks in the path of TS Cindy should be prepared for flooding.

THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM CINDY WILL AFFECT THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS AND TENNESSEE VALLEY TONIGHT AS THE CENTER MOVES NORTHEAST INTO NORTHEAST ALABAMA AND NORTHWEST GEORGIA LATER TONIGHT. RAIN AND POSSIBLE EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE DURING THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT. A FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE NIGHT FOR THE EASTERN MOUNTAINS AND ALSO THE TENNESSEE VALLEY COUNTIES IN THROUGH WHICH THE FRENCH ROAD...NOLICHUCKY AND PIGEON RIVERS FLOW WEST FROM NORTH CAROLINA.

See http://iwin.nws.noaa.gov/iwin/iwdspg1.html for the latest.

Do you recall in the clinton days, the military trained for "Urban Warfare" in several U.S. cities? Many thought that clinton intended to invade America and haul us off to the camps that exist, but don't exist?

FEMA CONCENTRATION CAMPS: Locations and Executive Orders

There over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and
ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by
full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by
FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be
implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential
signature on a proclamation and the attorney general's signature on a
warrant to which a list of names is attached. Ask yourself if you really
want to be on Ashcroft's list.

"Enemies in Iraq seek psychological, political victory"
Scripps Howard News Service ^ | July 06, 2005 | CLIFF MAY

Posted on 07/06/2005 6:50:11 PM PDT by jmc1969

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Our enemies in Iraq have never won a battle against American forces. They hold not a single province, city or town. In fact, militarily they have achieved virtually nothing. So why is there a debate over who is winning?

Here's why: Our enemies in Iraq are not aiming for a military victory. They are aiming for a psychological victory, to be followed by a political victory. By littering the streets of Iraq with bodies, they mean to demoralize Americans and cause politicians in Washington to begin to accept the prospect of retreat and defeat."

Palestinians need more cash [$5 billion ASAP says Clintonite, or it's Israel's, US's fault]

ARLINGTON, Virginia President George W. Bush's pledge at his meeting in May with the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, to provide $50 million in direct support for the Palestinian Authority is symbolically important, but needs to be 100 times larger to have a real impact.

The Palestinians need at least $5 billion as soon as possible from the United States and other nations,

The communists plan to organize mass uprising in India against US-India defense relationship – can UPA Government survive?
Balaji Reddy
Jul. 5, 2005
India signed a historic strategic defense alliance with America. India and America need each other being the two largest democracies. But the communists are now threatening mass movements against the Congress party led UPA alliance Government in India. After a meeting between CPM general secretary Prakash Karat and his CPI counterpart A B Bardhan on Sunday evening, the Left parties have decided to organize a mass movement against the decision. Countrywide rallies have been planned on July 8.

According to sources in India, common people in India favor US-India close relationships. But the countryside India is not happy with the Congress party and its approach to economic reforms favoring foreign multinationals and Indian oligarchs and business community. The Left Front, a coalition of communists already holds close to seventy seats and its support is crucial for the current Government to survive. The Communists have become enormously popular in recent days. If there was an election today, they can sweep as much as 100 seats in the parliament allowing them to form their own coalition Government. The BJP led NDA, the previous Government was ousted in the last election for the same reason – NDA failed to work for the rural India, instead they worked for foreign multinationals and the Indian oligarchs and select business community ready to provide real big political contributions.

It is sad Congress after promising a lot to the common people of India have fallen into the same trap and is now in a position to be ousted.

The Communists are showing to the country that Congress led UPA alliance is for tilting towards America. The fresh turbulence in the UPA comes on top of the Left's disenchantment with the Congress-led coalition on the proposed disinvestments in BHEL and other Government owned and operated companies and the hike in prices of petrol and diesel.

Can UPA survive the storm without Left’s support?

According to international and Indian think tanks, Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh believes that at the end of the day the Communists will support Congress led UPA over the opposition BJP led NDA.

They may be underestimating the popularity of the Communists. The Communists may sweep the next election by themselves. BJP led NDA will hold its right wing Hindu constituency while biggest loser may be the Congress.

Leonid Parfenov Nabs the Gang of Pretend Killers

// Under the Oligarchs’ Name They Were Extorting $50,000 from the Journalist

Yesterday it became known that officers of the Organized Crime and Terrorism Department of the Interior Ministry of Russia arrested two residents of the city Ivanovo who were extorting $50,000 from the editor of the Russian Newsweek magazine Leonid Parfenov. They were bargaining the information about alleged murder contract on his head. As Parfenov himself told Kommersant he is grateful to the Interior Ministry for the speed which the “stupid and idiotic scheme was uncovered.”
