The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

MIRAMAR, Fla. -- Despite the massive federal, state and local law enforcement effort to stop terrorists from entering the United States, there is no strong evidence of how well it is working.

Many experts are concerned that there are plenty of terrorists or sympathizers already in the country who have been here for years. Some are even citizens.

The Sept. 11, 2001, hijackers were the first wave and now the increasing number of arrests seems to signal a second wave of terrorism in South Florida.

Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds. Peace and prayer be upon the Imam (leader) of Mujahideen, his family and his companions.

The recent intensity of Mujahideen operations, including the timing and location of those operations, did not occur by accident. It was deliberately done to spoil the apostate Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari’s visit to Washington, DC.

The prime Minister had to scrap all of his originally prepared speeches, which were meant to convey to George Bush the news about the success of “operation lightening” and the new Iraqi government’s victory over the Mujahideen. This was supposed to paint a rosy picture of the ability of the new government to take care of security matter, thereby allowing Bush to claim progress and perhaps use that to declare “mission accomplished” and pave the way to withdraw from Iraq.

Your Mujahideen brothers have spoiled all of that. Jaafari was forced to change his speeches to the point that he was searching for words to describe the state of affairs in Iraq. instead of giving the cross worshipper Bush the opportunity to get out of Iraq, he was begging him to keep his (Bush’s) forces in Iraq.

The whole world watched both Bush and Jaafari’ in a joint press conference that failed to convince those in attendance (let alone those who have first hand knowledge from the battle ground) of any progress being made by either the Americans or the newly installed apostate government.

The Mujahideen have shown that “Operation Lightening” has failed. The descended unchallenged to many areas of Baghdad and took control and not even the American forces dared to challenge their presence.

We like to remind everyone that we constantly target the cross worshippers and whoever cooperates with them in any shape or form.

We would also like to bring glad tiding to people of Tawheed. We are dealing the enemies of Allah disgraceful defeat, by the Grace of Allah. We are certain that Allah will fulfill his promise to his faithful servants.

A former Yonkers resident and a Florida doctor were charged late Monday in a federal indictment with conspiring to aid al-Qaida.

Tarik Ibn Osman Shah, 42, of the Bronx, and Dr. Rafiq Sabir of Boca Raton, Fla., were arrested by federal agents in late May during an FBI sting operation.

Shah, a jazz musician and reputed martial arts expert, lived at 78 Oak St. in Yonkers until a couple of months before his arrest. He is accused of offering to train al-Qaida fighters in hand-to-hand combat. Sabir, a Columbia University-trained emergency room doctor, is accused of offering to treat wounded al-Qaida fighters in Saudi Arabia.

Both men swore an oath to al-Qaida in May during a phony induction ceremony in a Bronx apartment that was part of the sting operation, federal authorities said. An undercover FBI agent posing as an al-Qaida recruiter conducted the ceremony, according to an 18-page criminal complaint filed in the case.

The FBI operation lasted two years. It started when a longtime FBI informant told agents he had met Shah, who told the informant several mosques had prevented him from teaching martial arts to members after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. But the investigation appears to have been ratcheted up after Yonkers police stopped Shah's car after an alleged traffic violation and in a search of the car found the phone number of a convicted terrorist, authorities said.

Shah and Sabir have been held without bail since their arrests. Lawyers for the men did not return calls yesterday seeking comment. They each face up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the lone

Man sought in biblical center fire

Dallas Fire-Rescue officials said Wednesday they are looking for a man who may be able to offer information about a six-alarm fire that destroyed irreplaceable treasures inside the Biblical Arts Center in North Dallas.

"We believe this person can provide us with additional information to help us find the cause of the fire," Capt. Jesse Garcia said. "We're not saying they are a suspect, but just someone who can help us with information at this time."

Capt. Garcia said the man was “familiar” to museum officials, but he would not elaborate.


Dozens of pieces, including statues and paintings, were pulled from the Biblical Arts Center during the six-alarm blaze. About 120 Dallas firefighters spent several hours Tuesday battling an intense, smoky blaze fueled by material in the exhibits and archives – paper, wood, canvas and paint.

No injuries were reported, but Dallas Fire-Rescue Lt. Joel Lavender said the fire caused about $2 million in damage to the building. Museum officials and insurance agents would have to estimate damages to the museum's content, he said.

Scott Peck, the director of the museum, told WFAA-TV that 80 percent to 90 percent of the collection was destroyed. Virtually every piece of art sustained smoke damage and the loss was estimated at more than $10 million.

The flames might have ignited in the museum's prized possession: a gigantic 36-year-old painting of the New Testament scene of Pentecost. The Book of Acts describes the scene as the Holy Spirit descending on the apostles in "what seemed to be tongues of fire." (snip)

I heard a bit of Steven Brill (media honcho and American Prepared Campaign founder/chairman) on C-SPAN2 early yesterday morning. He was talking about WMD as part of a 911 Public Discourse Project event held this past Monday.

If you will recall, in January or February of 2004, some NY area newspapers briefly reported that Steve Brill had a litle soiree at his NYC apartment attended by top media execs from the major outlets and Tom Ridge. The topic of the night was how to cover the next attack, presumably a WMD attack. That is all that was shared publicly at the time.

On the program I watched yesterday, Brill offered a few more details about the NYC meeting; I will take great liberty in paraphrasing his comments. Brill stated that the American public was not prepared for a WMD attack. He talked about the Ready Kits his organization distributed to stores and that even though many were sold, they are far from being a household staple.

Most importantly, Brill said that he and Tom Ridge told the media heads back then to basically be responsible and put their WMD television graphics and information packages together. They were also told to get their WMD experts lined up -- this was last year.

Such coverage should be ready to go (like an obituary of a major public figure prepared in advance). They were instructed not to wait until such a WMD attack because of the "heat of the moment" errors and because there is some misleading information out there.

Brill used the dirty bomb scenario as an example. He said if folks tuned into coverage of a dirty bomb attack on New York, they would panic and flee even from places where they were safe because of the misconceptions between a dirty bomb and a nuke. So prompting the media to prepare correct, informational pieces in advance would help guard against unnecessary hysteria.

But I wondered as I listened to Brill whether that was the only angle they talked about at the 2004 meeting; probably not. We know people will panic and people will in the end make their decisions based on what is in their hearts as well as what they hear on the news. For instance, I think people learned a lesson from the 911 casualties caused secondarily (I say this because the evil jihadi killers were the primary cause) by some workers being told in error that Tower 2 was safe and to go back to their offices. So information on tv is good, but folks will do what they want to keep themselves safe.

I think the NYC talk at Brill's place last year also covered how the media can help keep the public order in addition to offering correct information. I mean, we know that public officials downplay events so as to lessen public alarm and to prevent stampeding and clogging of the roadways. Even if we do not appreciate this, that is one of their roles: to control public order. So it makes sense that the officials need the enlistment of the media to help quell panic, rioting, etc.

I guess the bottom line is not a surprise to us here and it continues to be: Not a question of if, but when... a WMD attack of some kind in some place at sometime.

Preparation, education and awareness remains key. The government agencies and the media can certainly help. But -- in the end -- we will all do what we deem essential to keep safe. I believe that in the event of a WMD attack, people will no longer be the Sheeple following orders that they usually are. This is why the government needs the media to educate, and also to downplay, for some semblance of order.

The Women's Role in Jihad Against the Enemy

A message posted to a password-protected al-Qaeda affiliated forum,
which contains a section concerning women and the Muslim family, titled:
"To You, My Muslim Sister: The Women's Role in Jihad Against the Enemy,"
seeks to motivate Muslim women to enter jihad in physical and
supporting capacities as part of a larger discussion of a sickness overwhelming
the "Islamic Nation" that is hindering their fight against the enemy.

The author believes that a "disease" is ravaging the ranks of the
Muslims, causing "misery and humiliation" upon them by their enemies. The
disease is considered a "weakness," which is defined as "love of life and
hatred of death," and is only improved through jihad and "fighting for
the sake of Allah." Here, the message indicates, is where the Muslim
women may play an important role and raise men who are not owned by
"cows, trees, crosses, and altar worshippers…."

Citing examples of women taking place in jihad during the time of the
Prophet Mohammad, the author asserts that these women of years past
should serve as paragons for the women of today to look upon and emulate,
rather than "your idol, this dancer, prostitute who is selling her body
in every place, or this singer or model." Further, the message states
that "if you want to know the whereabouts of the nation, look at its
women and whom they follow."

thought about it, the thought of "Liberated Women", reminds me that the "Liberals" are destroying our country.

You are correct here, I agree that there is/has been an effort to stop the masses from panic.

If you are not in the west part of the country, you would not
be aware of Dr. Bill Wattenberg, a Nuclear Physicist, who for 30 years has had a weekend radio show on KGO radio.

kgo.com and also pushback.com has a lot of his papers.

Dr. Bill has been on a committee to study the effects of a WMD attack in America, working for the gov.

He has tried to tell his listeners what to expect, but most do not understand what it means.

Dr. Bill says they expect 25 million deaths, this is the people who are fleeing........to no where. More than likely at the most a few hundred from the WMD.

Many do not have any idea of where to go if under attack, do not have supplies at home and will go insane with worry.

If any of you think back, about 8 years ago, a big storm was expected on the east coast and clinton decided to evacuate the areas that were expecting to be hit.

As I understood it, it was a right now, get in your car and run.

At that time it was still the Art Bell Show and he opened the lines to reports from the storm area only.

We heard 4 hours of calls, families split up, families lost to husbands (truck driver) who did not know if they had left or where they went.

Many do not know that once you were on the freeway, you could not get off.

Many are not aware that this was a part of the clinton plan, or the new FEMA plan, that clinton had ordered.....yes, that same plan that many of us thought (think) was setting up the concentration camps for those of us who fought them.

The FEMA plan was ready and as I understand it, was the foundation for Bush's "Homeland Security Department".

The Traffic on the freeways was at a standstill, people talked of being stopped for hours, unable to move forward.

My daughter lived in Huntsville, Alabama, she says that the refugees created problems there, as some came that far, with still no place to go and no money for motels.

Dr. Bill has said that it will not be only the people from the town that is hit, but will be other towns that think they are next.

Hit Los Angeles, and towns all the way to New York will be sure they are next. There is a danger that some will be hit.

I do hope the meeting was a planning meeting, if not then we will really be in trouble.
