Bernstein the elder was a Commie, so junior is a red diaper brat. It all figures. And to think junior wrote a biography on Pope John Paul II. Although, I've heard it's a pretty good bio, I won't buy it or read it.

I still think that a lot of what they published in the Washington Post was assumptions based on analsys not on a real sourse. Some of it came from this Deep Throat, but I would still bet a lot of it was educated guess.

It's the ultimate game of unverified sources with a perfect ending. An unverified admission.

You have to wonder: Did Felt feel slighted for being passed over for promotion by Nixon and pass on the info to Woodward and Bernstein, not out of duty and honor, but out of revenge?

Seems plausible to me. I'd like to know Felt's political affiliation. My guess = Dim.
