RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (UPI) -- A Saudi newspaper said Sunday authorities were investigating complaints posters of a crucified Christ were being distributed to school children.
The semi-official daily al-Watan said Saudis in the western al-Taif region have complained expatriates from an unidentified southeast Asian country were "selling stickers and posters of Christ on the cross to elementary school children."
Unidentified sources told the paper the stickers and posters were being sold by Asian street peddlers at traffic lights and in front of schools.
The sources complained selling these products was contrary to Islamic beliefs Jesus himself was not crucified, but rather someone else who resembled him.
The paper said because young children were the target market for the stickers, "adults have become suspicious."
It added parents have called on authorities to take action against street peddlers to "prevent sedition."
"I'm a little surprised they didn't stone the children for purchasing the stickers."
They strap bombs onto their own so I doubt that this is so far fetched.

Because it would prove that there was one man greater than Mohammad! That is the crux of the religion that there was no man greater than Mohammad. A man dying and rising from the dead would trump a child molesting murderer as the true prophet of God wouldn't it?
I agree it is a death cult. They would never allow Christian churches or preachers standing on a street corner in Riyhad to preach the Bible, why should allow them their mosque here.

agree, the ANWR gross mis-information propagated by the media and drilling opponents is staggering in scale. I do wonder why some pols oppose the drilling (the truth, not the polar bear stuff). Where is the payoff for its opponents aside from being a fund-raising, mass-mailing topic? My follow-the-money approach doesn't provide a clear answer to that one.

I have found that the proper (flushing) method of koran disposal is one page at a time. In this way, proper attention and "utilization" of every nuance can be both enjoyed and useful.
Now, please don't misunderstand me. I'm not knocking other methods of disposal such as; clay pigeon stand in, fire kindling, Viking Kitty scratch pad, muslim enema, mulch, etc.

yeah I'm not sure why the Muslims had problems with that, they must have a problem with the resurrection thing, because all the prophets died at some point, or maybe they just don't want Jesus to be a martyr? they do want everyone to believe that Mohammad was the last prophet and the Koran is the perfection of God/Allah's word.....
however if Muslims were being true to their own Koran, they would be studying the Torah and the Gospel as well as the Koran and query if there are contradictions between the three, hey there are contradictions in the Koran itself, but then what?
however Jesus's message is so contrary to Mohammad's, let's just sweep the carpenter's son under the rug, so to speak eh?
