Elegy
As bears lie down for winter
As flowers fold at night
As children's voices quiet
In the evening's fading light
As new lights glow in windows
As the gathering dusk grows deep
As sheep in distant fields lie down
And shepherds watch their sleep
As leaves fall from the trees
As snow falls on the ground
As waves wash up on sandy shores
As love is lost and found
As brothers grow to manhood
As sisters' hair turns gray
As evening's cool breezes
Gently nudge the sun away -
Alone we lie in bed at night
Alone to dream our dreams
To walk along the garden path,
Alone in life, it seems.
But even in the darkness,
As the grass collects the dew,
And even in your sadness,
Know
The Shepherd watches you.

It's been ten months for me...trust me, I know the feelings you are going through.
Something else tells me Norman will be waiting for that dance.
Have patience though...there are others still here that need you to wait for that waltz in Heaven.
God Bless.

I pray you find comfort in the love of the lord. May God bless you and keep you until the time you are with Norman again.

I have lost my all my Grandparents and my father to date. I feel your pain and I hope you find the strength to see you through your time of sorrow. We miss the ones we loved in life, and we carry them in our hearts.
Their places in our lives remind us how lucky and thankful we were to have them. As I grow older I tend to reflect on what has happened in my life and try harder not to have regrets with the ones I love.
A friend of mine is married to a police officer and during one of our discussions we talked about how couples, family, etc. fight over silly thing not really worth the time put into the argument to begin with.
She told me that her and he husband never fight and I said how is that possible, and she said because his job is dangerous and each kiss goodbye in the morning could be that last and to think your last words may have been in anger is something you would regret for the rest of your life.
That hit me in the head like a hammer and it totally changed the way I act and how I appreciate each day of my life. Cherish the memories of those who have left us and make every day with those who remain filled with love and kindness.
My heart go out to you.

The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord cause His Light to shine upon you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
Incline Thine ear, O Lord, unto our prayers, wherein we humbly implore Thy mercy upon the soul of Thy servant, whom Thou hast commanded to pass out of this world, that Thou mayest place him in the region of peace and light, in fellowship with Thy saints. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Mary, Mother of God and Mother of mercy, pray for us and for all who have died in Gods embrace.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen.
