I apologize for doing this late and not having a poll. I was pretty buisy this week. However, a question to debate: Who will take the NFC West in '05? The Rams, The Seahawds, or the Cardinals. (The niners are in their division, but they have a snowball's chance in hell at winning it, no offense to their fans)

And let me put a plug in now, for all you football fans: get out there and become a youth or high school football official.

There is a chronic nationwide shortage of officials, especially at the youth level.

Officiating is a great way to give back to the game you love, to make a little money while getting into (or staying) in shape, and believe me, it's the best way to see the game.

I've officiated five years at the youth level, and two years of high school ball. I'm just sorry that it's taken me so many decades to find my true hobby in life.

Call you state high school association or youth league this week! Most officiating training classes start in June or July, so its not too late for this upcoming season.

Play, coach or ref! ReaganCowboy out...

If you believed you tag line there would be no NFL. Half of them would be dead or in jail. They are, with a few exceptions, a bunch of self centered, spoiled, rich punks who without the luck and yes talent, would be playing street ball and involved in the criminal justice system as inmates or in the shock trauma unit with multiple gsw's. If the NFL, without the greed that is pervasive, had their players stick to the rules that the rest of us attempt to follow, most would be in the aforementioned places in life.

Of the major professional sports, the NFL is relatively inoffensive. I just wish that the NBA would shut down for good.

The NFL is much better in this regard than it was 10 or 20 years ago. Now the exception are the self centered ones. I.e. the ones that make news. Plus, the NFL has the age limit which has helped them start with more majure players to begin with.
