May 28, 2005 McCain Urging Accord on Bolton and Secret Documents By DOUGLAS JEHL and CARL HULSE WASHINGTON, May 27 - One of John R. Bolton's leading Republican backers, Senator John McCain of Arizona, signaled his support on Friday for a compromise in which the White House might allow Senate leaders access to highly classified documents in return for a final vote early next month on Mr. Bolton's nomination as United Nations ambassador. The conciliatory signal from Mr. McCain came as Senate leaders traded blame over who was responsible for the miscalculation that led to Mr. Bolton's nomination being blocked Thursday. But the White House showed

Folks, if Mr. McCain realizes how in jeopardy his GOP nomination is in 2008, he will reconsider his stance.
Seriously, write to this dude.
How dare you ask for substance on a "Let's all sh!t on Mckain thread! ;o)
Hmm, wonder if Hill's dropped a word in McCain's ear that if he plays ball with the dems, she'll put him on her ticket as VP?
No he won't.
McQueeg fully deserves every bit of calumny heaped upon him and then some.
McCain's means achieve the President's ends, watch. Whatever he is cooking up will achieve the confirmation of Bolton. Notice that the deal on the filibuster will fail shortly causing all the nominees to get a vote. He's no RINO, he's a fox.
Well, we'd be minus one (apparently) damned good federal judge that had been stalled since 2002 with no response from the flummoxed Stupid Party!
Trusting McCain is damn near impossible, respecting McCain borders on the impossible and believing his bullsh*t requires a lobotomy from the neck up.
I wish you were preachin to the choir but I'm afraid you're shoutin at a kennel.
Someone stole your old IBM "Think" plaque and you replaced it with "Thoughtless"?
Project complexes can be helped...get some help; ASAP!
I never thought I'd hear myself say this: I may vote for Hiliary in 2008 if John McCain gets the nomination.
Heck, those two might end up on the same ticket.
I like to use "McVain" to convey the enormous, uncontrolled ego of this man. Yes, he was a war hero, but that does not give anyone an unlimited pass to wreak havoc on our democratic republic and constitutional system. The Rs have won elections across the board on the national level, and hold Senate, the House, and the Presidency -- yet, largely because of John McVain's ego and lack of judgment they continue to behave as the minority and not majority party.
There should be NO QUESTION about the Rs being able to confirm the president's judicial nominees.... McVain is carrying water for the Demagogic Party, no matter how he likes to dress it up with pretence about principle and "Senate traditions".....
Lawdude: "I went to the article and it appears he did. What am I missing?
