Why did Kasich decide to leave congress in the first place, if anyone happens to know?

I believe he ran for President in 2000.

He married several years ago then had a kid (or two?) and wanted to slow down the pace and spend more time at home...atleast that's what I recall.
IMHO, this would be great news! The RINO pubbies who are in control here are also very concerned about all the grassroot support being thrown towards "maverick conservative" Kenneth Blackwell for governor. LOVE IT!

IIRC, at the time Kasich just had twins/triplets?..and he wanted to spend some time with the family and also to make some serious money..

Why did Kasich decide to leave congress in the first place, if anyone happens to know? Perhaps we could ask Gary Condit.

(Never allow anyone who could only get a government job attempt to tell you how to run your life.)

I know! He said when he ran for the first time that he believed in term limits and when he was voted in for a second term, he reminded everyone that he believed in term limits and this would be his last term. People begged him to reconsider but he kept his word. He served his two terms with honor and I hope he really is considering running against DeWine!

I think that the reason that Kasich gave was to spend more time with his family.
