Anyone who tries to reduce the effective value of the wages that I have worked so hard to improve throughout my life, is an enemy of mine. And I will fight them in any way that I can. So you must be a ferocious enemy of free trade and outsourcing!

"Believe"? Is the free market ideology a religion? You bet it is, a false one. The "free market" society never existed and never will.
In a way, it is like a religion, if you question it, you get smacked as a heretic.
Why? Because the market is an aspect of the economy and economy is an aspect of social life. Market is a product and a tool created by the society. If deregulated it becomes a destroyer.
You need to strike a fine balance at some point. Over regulation, you get things like pure socialism or communism, no regulation you end up having the weak and the average be at the mercy of the strong "ubermenschen," of course, you can get that under socialism/communism too. We need some meeting in the middle, we need responsible regulation in some areas to protect the average person as well as the general welfare of the country and her sovereignty. Power, economic or political is bad wen you have it in too few hands.

Joy is not a gift. It is a learned skill and a rigid discipline of mind for those of us not born with the genetic makeup for it to be natural.
Rid your life of downers.
That means people who put you down and don't know how to laugh and who don't appreciate your special qualities.
Write down all the things you feel obligated to do and have a heart to heart with yourself about whether you are really obligated or just didn't have the strength to say no, or are trying to keep up some false impression of yourself with people who don't really care about you.
Write down things you genuinely enjoy doing, and do them instead of your false obligations.
Make a point several time a day to do something that brings a smile, a laugh or a sense of relief and escape.
Cultivate joy.
It will never be given to you.
Seize it.

I should have used the modifier "artificially," and the terms "by force." I have no problem with the victim of artificially inflated wages fleeing when they no longer can afford to conduct business. Besides which, this actually increases the effective value of my wages by decreasing the market cost of goods.
Nice try, though.

I grant you that there is no Joy like the Joy of Salvation, but I am speaking about more day to day mental health disciplines for people who deal with a genetic predisposition to depression.

Was Ayn Rand pro-life or pro-choice? How many children did she have?
I knew she was pro-abortion, even to the point of supporting President Carter over Ronald Reagan in 1980 due to Reagan's pro-life views.

Not a word - the Bible is not an economic tract. You can't use it to support or detract any economic system.

You are so right. The sad part is that when one of them does try to stick up for the right thing .. nobody believes them anymore because they have cried wolfe too many times.

Entry level jobs should support one person with at least modest shelter, food, transportation (preferably at least a used car and insurance) and a little extra to go to a movie.
Please explain why. A job should only pay what the labor is worth.

I should have stayed off this thread. Somebody actually threatened that they would zot me. I stand up for the handicapped like JimRob, I stand up for murdered babies, I stand up for slaughtered baby harp seals, I stand up for reasonable measures environmentally not to turn the whole country into a parking lot, I stand up for family values, I stand up for Christian morality, and I stood up for a handicapped woman they murdered in Flordia whose name I'd better not bring to this thread.
Get over yourself. For real.

And the people who work for the mom and pop stores that they allegedly replace probably make less wages, work less hours and have less benefits than Wal Mart employees.
I find it utterly amazing that a company that exploits its workers so visciously can get so damn many people to work there when there are so many high paying hamburger flipping jobs that are being eagerly filled by illegal aliens.
To: Destro
I agree.

If you were following Godwins law you would understand that the thread is terminated when nazi references are made. You appear to want to extend the name calling and unsolicited personal attacks that started with your reply to my original post that was not directed at you. I try to keep my posts light and not take any of this BS too seriously. Pictures help make my point and are often used to expose the ignorance and hypocrisy of the subjects of these threads. By the way...found a recent portrait of you to go with your baby pic. Say cheese.
