Yes it was, BUT ... this was to bring the Senate back to into speaking terms with one another according to Graham and McCain ... that's what was broken by this.

If a vote for cloture is voted down, then it is a filabuster

"The agreement was for judicial fillibusters - this isn't a judicial appointment."

True, however it says all you need to know about their attitude of bipartisanship. We all know this is the way they are. It's the Rino 7 that let the Dems pi** down our backs and tell us it's rainin'.

You are correct, and that's why talk of how Ol'Strom did it isn't relevant to today's rule. The change insured that not having 60 yes votes insures that a filibuster can go on and on without any pain to the party doing it. They don't have to stand around and talk to make it work.

How about instead of screwing the entire Republican Party (the only party other than the Democrats that has any chance of winning national elections) you focus on getting rid of people like McLame, DeWine, Graham, etc

Right and wrong.

You are correct in the sense that the yellow stripe that runs down the back of Republican'ts has more pigmentation in some, like SnoweJob and McLame and Sphincter than others.

However, I disagree with you about the party as a whole.

It is clear that the Bush White House has lost its influence in the Republican't Senate. It is also clear that the Majority "leader" Frist is limp and immpotent.

This is just not "7 turncoats". Bush won an extremely bitter election battle and the Republican'ts GAINED seats. This meant the people of this nation wanted to see conservative judges.

Yet, the whole party folded tent. If the party had some control, the turncoats would not have done this. The RAT party has TOTAL conrol of their House and Senate. It is control at the top and throughout which makes the RAT party stronger than the Republican't party.

The entire GOP deserves to feel the wrath of conservatives.

"Just ignore politicalwit. He hates the Republican Party as much as the Democrats do. All he ever does is trash every Republican (except for one traitorous Congressman) and the President."

LOL I don't take offense. I know that we are all very frusterated. Right now I'm going to enjoy a glass of wine. Tomorrow is another day. Have a good evening, my friend.

Huh and nothing about the DC liberal press, who not only stand in President Bush's way, but our way.

You give them a pass, when they are a major obstacle.

Now can see why you are considered a perpetual malcontent.

What part of the agreement that said "only" judicial nominations do all of you not understand? Can you people not read or hear?

Just reread the "compromise" (here on FoxNews.com for those that don't believe either you or me), and it only took the Constitutional Option off the table for judicial nominees. FWIW, the original Constitutional Option plan also would have been only for judicial nominees (specifically, appellate court/SCOTUS nominees).

I wonder if McCain and Graham are still patting themselves on the back tonight. All they managed to do was pull the Republican leadership down a few pegs. I hope they are proud of themselves.

That is crap and you know it. This is not over.
Bush plays chess, while the dems play checkers.
Give them enough rope. You might think the dems are
winning but not in the end. The 7 Rinos know they are
finished, you can't lump the other repos with them.

You said it and said it right!

I have been voting 45 years and have yet to vote for someone I really wanted to vote for. It has always been the choice of two evils an trying to pick the less evil.

If you put a pub and dem in a sack of four and shook it you could not tell them apart!

Send all of them to north Korea and hope that twit keeps them!

Huh and nothing about the DC liberal press,

Dane, let me tell you something that you overlook all the time.

Sean Hannity spends three hours a day bashing Democrats and the press. Did that stop the Republican'ts from surrendering to the enemy?

There seems to be a lot of people who STILL feel that bashing Democrats and bashing the press and bashing Hollyweird gain something. It does not. Sean Hannity should know better, and you should know better.

If you want to GAIN anything, you best start by showing your outrage to the Republicans. This continual "my party is better than your party" Sean Hannity type stuff is childish beyond words. RAT bashing gains us nothing in the fight to reclaim our nation.

I suggest you direct your energy STRICTLY within the Republican party. Praise people like Tancredo. Roast traitors like DeWine and Warner.

This may come as news to you and as news to Sean Hannity but bashing RATs and bashing the press is a TOTAL waste of time. Please.........if you want to help, direct 100% of your energy within the Republican party, and direct most of that to holding accountable those who stab us in the back.

If advise and consent applies to all presidential appointments, then it is time to return to the Constitution.

It's time to end the unconstitutional Dumbocrat obstructionism in the Senate.

Nuke 'em now.

The thing that is interesting here is that the Dems knew they were going to spring this at the same time they were "negotiating" the "compromise." They are snakes and weasels.

It must be hard for the "Sissified 7" to walk around the Senate, since they have to drop trou and bend over for drunken murderers of Kenndy's ilk and the other POS marxi-crats.
