Canteen Backyard Cookout!!
Okay, who's cooking??

Tomkow? Old Sarge? Tonkin? HiJinx? Auntie Fawnn? Ma??????
Long weekends sometimes are family backyard cookouts.
While this weekend is Memorial Weekend, which we in the Canteen take seriously, a little kickoff fun is planned.
We thank our Troops for their service to our nation.
We have some beer!
Some eats!
Some fishing....
Some lounging around...
You a Redneck??

Mine is no stranger to company. He'll jump right into their lap and demand to be petted. He has a very strong head and knows how to use it. LOL
Thankfully, most people dont mind. He's really soft and fuzzy, so I think that helps.

My magnificent beast Mimi would do the lap thing.
She'd see an open lap, and make a running leap for it.
She'd land lightly, which was amazing considering she was sorta heavy and all muscle, and then stare intently into your face while purring loudly.
She was a long-furred kitty, and very meticulous about her grooming.
She loved being fussed over, but if she was washing, she got really ticked if you dared touch her -she'd have to begin all over again because you 'soiled' her with your 'contaminated' human hands.

Well right now, I'm trying to untangle myself from my headphones wire. It likes to trap me like an anaconda and choke me. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten up from the chair forgetting I'm wearing them and just ripped them right out of the jack in the speaker. *sigh*...I'll learn one of these days to keep track of whats on my head.
I wish I could slack. I have to go finish something and then run downtown. I did get to sleep late today though! yesterday was the last day of school for Conman.

LOL I had a cat like that back home. I named it mignight cause it followed me home at midnight and it was solid black, but she eneded up being Jesse. She died a few years back. Very meticulous in her ways. And she did not appreciate extra attention while she was busy. LOL

I'm great and I'd be greater if I could pull myself away from this machine and go clean a grimy kitchen. Seems like an easy choice for me; grimy kitchen, or hanging with my friends. It's a no brainer, but alas it has to be done.
