What is the effect of the Parliamentary inquiry as to how many votes are required to end debate? I think I heard the presiding member say three-fifths.... Is this a slip?
To: Kerretarded
We'll see right now if the dems will live up to the MOU.

"Are you done playing Chicken Little? We are still in this game!"
How? Where? We went from sure, guaranteed victory to absolute defeat hours before the final win.
My wife and I spent 8 years, hundreds of hours and a few grand working to get republicans in the senate and a republican president. In less than 24 hours the filthy RINO segment of our party flushed all that work right down the toilet.
I do not see how we can win in the short term and I doubt we can win in the long term.
The real ramifications of this disaster will be months playing out. The dems now KNOW they can roll us. They know the RINO will cave, appease, or commit actual treachery to insure their place on the Sunday Morning talk shows.
Show me how we can reverse this. I just don't see it. The President is waffling instead of showing real anger while Frist has shown himself to be not in control.

7 RINOs have vowed not to vote for rules change if Owens / Brown / Pryor come to the floor for a vote... What if the rest of the Republicans banded together in support of the filibuster? Wouldn't that negate that "clause" and create a situation to trigger the contitutional option vote?

We went from sure, guaranteed victory to absolute defeat hours before the final win.You may define Owen's eventual confirmation as "absolute defeat", I do not.
There are problems but none are "absolute".
