All the callers on my local talk radio show (philly) are ripping the 7 Dwarfs apart

One called in and blamed Warner as the key player in this

"Thanks for trying to change the subject, but if we can't win with the majority. Who the hell cares who runs in 08?"

I wasn't even thinking about 08. I was just reacting to the thought that Hillary would allow herself to be trounced in a debate with Condi. Sorry about the digression.

Okay, back to subject. I have confidence in Frist. I think he has done a terrific job of holding the Dems feet to the fire and I am very hopeful he will get most of the nominees through. I would say all except the RINO's are going to prevent some of them. Just da**.

McCain and his band will not be greeted with the adulation they thought they would find. McCain will not receive the W.H., he's just alienated the Base for good. I want him the hell out of the Party! The red state Dems will be fried alive come '06.

Conclusion: The Republicans are looking at a collapse of their GOTV effort in 2006 unless they very rapidly repair the damage the moderates did to their party yesterday. Otherwise, 2006 is shaping up as a repeat of 1992, when conservatives stayed home in disgust over Bush I's reneging on the no new taxes pledge.

Point well taken.

Republicans are afraid that conservatives will run to a third party in 2006 or worse yet, vote for conservative democrats on local issues or in contests involving Republican moderates but I suspect you are correct. Conservatives will simply stay home if they feel the GOP is being guided away from them.

Here in California the Republican Party guaranteed that conservatives will desert them: they eliminated the next Republican gubernatorial primary to protect Schwarzenegger who is in greater jeopardy with conservatives than he is with liberals.

Rush was saying earlier the agreement says that the Constitutional Option CANNOT be used again for a year and half.

Rush was wrong.

Some of us correctly pointed out last night (when many here were also asserting that same thing in error) that was incorrect and I believe posters listening to Rush said he later corrected the record.

He's on WABC, 770, on the radio and can be heard in the tri-state area. I think you can get the show on line, but don't know what the link is

www.wabcradio.com has a listen-live feature

One called in and blamed Warner as the key player in this

The caller wasn't off the mark. Unlike Graham, Warner just admitted on foxnews that he would not have voted for the nuclear option. Graham said had the negotiations failed, he would have voted with his party.

Another point I'd like to make is this: this agreement is nothing more than a usurpation of powers and I think you are ignoring that part of this situation.
