FReepers be prepared for surprises today.

I don't hold ill toward Frist or the 48. It is the 14, especially our 7, that I want destroyed.
Maverick McCain and his merry band are going to be made to realize the MSM doesn't run the show. nor does one vengeful bitter old man that was rejected in 2000 for a GOOD principled man, and will be rejected again by even larger margin in '08. I'm not in Arizona. I've never had the option to vote against him. I look FORWARD to slamming down that ballot with a vote against the maverick. Let his face explode in red, and let the cameras be near when it happens. Just as they were for his smirk yesterday.
You're going down McCain, why don't you just get the hell out of the Party now. You are no longer welcome.
Me too ;-)
married, bald, short, scrawny & old -- and those are my good points.
Actually, at the moment, he is taking Kennedy and Byrd to the woodshed for past and current behavior, and he is doing a pretty good job.
What was really strange about his "announcement" or interview, was that he was by himself---he wasn't surrounded with other senators and he just walked away by himself after he finished talking...
I got the impression that his mouth was saying what his heart didn't want to hear...
Right on both counts. I'd pay big bucks to see a real debate between Condi and Hillary......sorta like a verbal wrestling match w/Big Thighs pinned to the floor. Y'know what I mean? (Said in an ole Ern voice. LOL)
This self-righteous caller into Hannity is getting on my nerves.
Oh would that ever be good! I think Hillary might actually cry if up against the intellect of Condi. I'd pay to see that!
Insightful.
You need to tell this to some freepers who already surrendered in 2005 because we cannot stop Hillary Clinton from being President. These are the guys who attack the GOP and President Bush for being cowards and not fighting the Donkeys.
Only humans can cry.
Someone else said he did! I still don't know what Rick said! I pray he was misunderstood and not so pathetic as to throw in with the Rino's!
LOL! Good point.
I hope you are right about this, but I do not trust Graham as far as I can throw his fat butt. What galls me the most is how Mccain and the others have been saying that they need to "trust" each other, trust trust trust that is all these idiots have been pushing, and not one of them can be trusted, they have stabbed all of us in the back. Mccain is the biggest proponent of the "trust" factor and he is the one I would trust the very least.
CAPTION: "...and then I called Dick Morris a ... Jew..."
Lindsey doesn't have any credibility. None of these 14 do. It may be alive, but if they weren't going to vote for it before they won't vote for it again. Lindsey's trying to cover his butt by saying he is a "yes" vote. If he were a yes vote he wouldn't have signed this deal with the devil.
Oh, wonderful. Hannity is going to have him up in minutes.
Frist DOES have the option to still call the vote on all nominees and I hope he does it. If he does, these people can obstruct but they are forever on record. I want these weasels to explain away the unremovable black and white yes or no vote on the Senate floor to their constituents.
The Senate is a stuck-up group of people who think themselves important. You simply cannot call them names, or you won't get a vote.
Saad wrote an e-mail which attacked the Senator from Michigan. He sent it to her by mistake. He won't win confirmation.
I'm not saying it is fair, but that is how the SENATE works. It is not a Republican or Democrat thing, it is a SENATE thing.
In fact, the most amazing thing about this agreement is that Pryor is going to get a vote. It is almost a certainty that if you accept a recess appointment, it is like poking the Senate in the eye, and you won't get a vote.
So for him to get a vote is a big deal. Again, I'm not saying it should be like this, but it is.
This is why most witnesses at Senate hearings don't trash the Senators. It might be fun, but they have all the power, and they do stick up for one another (like Levin covering Coleman at thea hearing with Galloway).
We love to make fun of Democrats, but they were not totally blowing smoke when they talked about how the Senate is a 'collegial body'. They are, much like the Roman Senate, above the commoners, above the masses, not at all like that awful "House of Representatives".
That is why I say that Saad messed up. It's nothing personal.
I think I actually went blind for a moment.
If he screwed us I 'm done with him! NO PRISONERS!
Me too. He puts these types on occasionally, they annoy me.
