If Byrd is going to be loyal to the faith of his fathers, he's going to have to start burning crosses.Don't give him any ideas...

Does anyone know how long this gasbag is going to speak? I dunno. What year is it?
I have him open in another window, muted. I peek now and then to see if he's still breathing.

Frist plans on putting all nominees to an up or down vote.Lordy, I hope he goes ahead with this. It is either he who is majority leader or it's McCain. Can't be two of them.

But the guy that just called in said he was told that ONLY 3 nominees would be voted on.

I want to see the President call a presser, grab his pocket Constitution and read aloud how his powers are delineated regarding judges.
He can then add, "I will not stand by and allow anyone to subvert the Constitution. Vote on my nominees."

And if the 'Rats filibuster any nominees, then Frist should just let debate continue for months, if necessary. Tie up the Senate completely just like the 'Rats threatened to do.

Excellent questions!
IIRC, they've been stalled in the comittee for a number of months, if not years.
I read the info here last night, but I can't recall the poster. Maybe, kcvl... (my go to FReeper)?
Anyone?

Yeah, some guy called Rush and said he called Frist's office and they told him it was all over, so, Rush called to confirm and got just the opposite reply. They said the caller must have talked to an intern.

...and that's when Mr. Snerdly called Frist's office for himself. And was told ALL nominees will be voted on. The Constitutional option is NOT off the table. I put my $$$ on Snerdly's call, not a callee into Rush.

Signatories make no commitment to vote for or against cloture. Means the Dem seven can vote to uphold filibuster on Saad and Myers without breaking the agreement.
The "extraordinary circumstances" clause would not apply, since that is only for future nominees.
To: TheForceOfOne
Well, I would hope that Frist works to ensure all the candidates get an up or down vote. It's what the president wants and it's how the process should work.
There is no reason to cede ANY power to the Democrats. They certainly wouldn't give it to us if the tables were turned.
