BTW, saw Chafee on Linda Vester's show---he told the audience to trust him, HE'S THE PROFESSIONAL, and the audience BOOED HIM!!!! LOL
Dang ... missed it.

From the agreement:
B. Status of Other Nominees. Signatories make no commitment to vote for or against cloture on the following judicial nominees: William Myers (Ninth Circuit) and Henry Saad (Sixth Circuit).
If the Dems filibuster them under 'extraordinary circumstances' then we are back to where we were yesterday except that Graham and Dewine said they will vote for the nuclear option.
This deal is a non-starter.

LOL at how my mind isn't working today. Thanks for finishing Buchanan's point.

I would never have voted for McCain but now I'm joining the ABM camp. Anybody But McCain.

I think Arlen couldn't sign on because he's the Chair of the Judiciary Committee. How would it look for him to join into an agreement that could block floor votes on nominees that have already passed through his committee and been approved?

E-MAIL that observation to Senator Frist ASAP!!!!!!!!!!! It's not Frist that needs to see that (he's "officially" not a party to this); it's the 7 Dwarves.

As usual, Arlen is playing both sides against the middle.

I thinks its worse than that. I, unlike Tony, don't think McCain got played at all. I think he went into this with his eyes wide open.I made that same point a couple of hours ago. The seven 'pubs who morphed into rats knew exactly what they were doing.

Inouye is a signatory to the deal, the deal said they all would vote to invoke cloture, he didn't vote.........deal just got broke.
Excellent observation. This deal is nothing more than a sop to the MSM. Too many egos in the room all vying for the spotlight to shine upon them.
To: maggiefluffs
Oh, that's rich. WOW, this was really a coup. What they couldn't accomplish on the Committee... yes indeed, they've usurped the Committe's power. WOW!

Graham's office phones are smokin'. I told Graham's office that Lindsay better not set his slimy feet in my state again. I told her that I and thousands of Republicans have been betrayed by him and his gang and conservatives don't take well to backstabbers. Therefore, I said that I will do all I can to see that he is not returned to the Senate.
These morons need to feel the HEAT caused by their betrayal of their base.
