How can Chaffee vote no? He just last night signed an agreement to bring the Owens nomination to the floor.
He should change his first name to Richard so we can give him an approriate nickname.

I checked all of the cloture votes on judical nominees about a week ago. Was curious which DEMs crossed over. Biden voted to invoke cloture on Myers. Zell Miller voted for cloture on all of them (more or less), Miller of Nebraska too. A few more DEMs for Estrada, but that is moot for now.

Lincoln Chafee MUST lose his senate seat. He is a TOOL.
He was just on Fox News, and replied to the question,
"Won't some of the nominees be effectively thrown overboard" by saying that
"when the President sends up controversial, and devisive" nominees, he will reap what he sows". Lincoln Chaffee May 24, 2005

We can do everything but stay home and/or throw races to the rats to "punish" the republicans. Puh-leeze. That is the only thing RINOs have to fear from conservatives. Take that off the table and you will be ignored entirely.

I've spent so much time at FR that I have to resist telling friends to "Ping me" instead of "Call me."
When I'm reading an article either in a magazine or any other website I find myself composing my comments in my head, then am frustrated when I realize I can't post my response. Imagine my frustration at not being able to ZOT someone or declare Troll Alert!

The one thing I can't understand is how can McCair usurp Frists authority and claim to make a deal with the Democrats that none of the other Republican have agreed to or signed. Seems to me that the deal isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Rush is pointing out that according to this agreement the gang of 14 made .. the President has to consult with them on future nominations

We have 55 senators, we need 51 to get rid of the stupid filibuster rule. Then we need 51 to get ALL of our people approved and seated. THEN, we need 51 votes to get a ProLife judge on the Supreme Court.
We have been betrayed because now we cannot get ALL of our people approved and we CANNOT get a ProLife judge on the Supreme Court. Why, because the stupid Filibuster still exists.
The President needs to get involved and lead from the front on this. There is nothing more pressing than saving the lives of 3000 babies every single day.

Chafee voted no? He voted yes every time she came up for cloture before. Good observation. But we know there are a few GOP who spit on the Constitution. Chaffee is one of them.
