Pouting? LOL

This is fury cyn. This is the reaction of a person that is through with it all. If you refuse to see what they just did, or you accept it as okay, that is your choice. I don't.

Lindsay. I'm very disappointed in him. If a serious Republican runs against him in an SC primary next year, I'll come down & pass out flyers or something.

Let me see if I got this right.

When cloture was voted on back on July 29, 2003, judge Owen got 53-YEAs, 43-NAYs, & 4- Not Voting.

NOW it's 81!!!!!

NOPE NO POLITICS THERE!!!

Here's a little more that will possibly irritate the crap out of everyone.

re: Dirty Deal
[Kathryn Jean Lopez  05/24 11:54 AM]

That's what the NYTimes has been reporting, too, Brad. One (or at least I) worries if that's what people are willing to talk about publicly, there may be worse yet to be revealed.

Dirty Deal?
[
Bradford Berenson  05/24 11:22 AM]

I have just heard from excellent sources that a number of Hill reporters believe that there is an oral side deal under which two other very good men have been prospectively thrown overboard by the Republican 7, notwithstanding the "extraordinary circumstances" pledge: Kavanaugh and Haynes. If true, this would be the dirty deal of all time and a disgraceful surrender executed under cover of darkness. It would also be an ominous portent of how the written deal will be implemented in the future.

At this point, this is only rumor, but it's imperative for the press, the groups, and the Republican leadership to demand a flat, on-the-record confirmation or denial from each of the seven Republican signatories. Immediately. If there are terms of this deal beyond those in writing, the public has a right to know.

True, but the "extraordinary circumstances" bar has been raised almost impossibly high by the fact that the three most 'extreme' candidates will have been given cloture.

Maybe in bizarro world.

In dealing with the US senate, is there any other world?

DU quote
. It's done So it's done then. Owen will get confirmed. How could we let this happen? And why, if it was so close before, did 81 senators vote for cloture? Shouldn't it have been more like 61???

They kept asking me whats wrong? All I could utter was, 'damned senate majority'.

I reached my boiling point a few weeks ago and discovered a great "inspirational radio" station with music. I'm listening to it now, and my blood pressure (which I take meds for) has really come down in spite of this mess.

Yeah, I am listening too and Rush explained it well. We must not forget in 2008.

I don't think we need to abandon the party, we need to abandon those who fail to lead the party.

I think the rats will break the agreement before the deadline and scream the Republicans aren't allowed to prevent more filibusters because to them all nominees are too extreme and the Republicans promised not to go nuclear (I hate that terminology) for 1-1/2 years.

Some will get a real shock about their political aspirations to be president. At least 7 just got crossed off the list yesterday.

3 out of 10? not good, we need a revolt, now!

Right you are. No politics involved here. Just ask McCain, it's called "congeniality, TRUST and (gag) statesmanship!"
