I'm out of the party. I'm not a Republican any more. No money goes to the RNC, and I'm so filled with ennui, that I doubt I can muster the energy to vote in 2006.

Frist's incompetence and the RINO-seven's duplicity have rendered me thus. And here I will remain.

Now it's up to the Republicans to coax me back with solid progress. I'm not expecting any.

It's every soldier's nightmare: to win the war abroad, only to come home to a nation in ruins.

What is this party doing to my country?

I'm now in the market. No more donations.

GOP? Nie wieder.

Many of us felt that way after the impeachment betrayal.

I congratulate you on not being put to sleep by the less than honest rhetoric of those present at the press conference on the "compromise" yesterday. I re-registered some months ago, and all the activity since has only proven that I made the right decision. After more than 40 years as a Republican, I am now no longer. We need a true conservative leader ... of which I see none.

Laz-I seem to recall you making a similar statement when CFR was passed and Bush signed it (BTW I thought you were right then). Now, I am not so certain. If we would have used the big stick we would have come off looking like bullies. The Pubbies will probably gain seats in the 06 senate races and the Rats will have to give more and more ground. I understand that you are probably upset on principle, but everyone here knows that sometimes politics come first.

I agree 100% with "no money" for the RNC. RNC stands for RINO National Committee.

My money will now go to PAC's and to individual REPUBLICAN candidates.

Their Rat opponents are unthinkable.

If the GOP national leadership can't recognize the "Hill to Die On" that is the judicial appointment issue, I have too little in common with that leadership to support them.

If the leadership did properly recognize the issue, but did not have the will, the ability, or the tenacity to enforce party discipline for victory on that issue, than I have too little respect for that leadership to support them.

Either way, I am with you, Laz. I am probably sitting out 2006 and 2008, unless I get a clear shot at punishing McBane, Gay-Rham, Snoweblind, or the other GOP "centrists" in this debacle.

Has the language become so corrupted that "Moderate" is now what you call a liberal and "compromise" is now what "unlubricated, involuntary violation of one's anus" is now called?

No money goes to the RNC

When they call me for a contribution, I say, "Sure. I'll give you $100 for every major spending bill vetoed by the President. Now, how much do I owe you?"

I’m with you, that’s it for me. Hold my powder? I can’t even hold my breakfast down. How do I know this sell-out is so bad? The MSM loves it. The left-wingers love it. They’re happy while conservative Republicans gnash their teeth. Frist ceded his power to the attention whore McCain. Between this and immigration, I’m sorry, but as Ronald Reagan said, ``I didn't leave my party; my party left me.'' As with you, it’s up to them to win me back. I will always be a conservative first.

"Frist's incompetence...."

You can't blame Frist really. I blame McCain and his tremendous ego and then there's Graham is lapdog. Now those two, I do blame.
