It's a sad day for the Republic. Dobson has it right, we were betrayed. Let the consequences begin.

All it takes for evil to triumph is for Republicans to befriend, act like, and give in to, Democrats.

If Republican'ts will not stand up to the domestic Democrat, why should we expect them to stand up to the foreign terrorist?

"I'm inceasingly convinced that spiritual warfare prayers are the only hope we have about anything.."

I know. I've been feeling that "pull" to fast and pray The Word over this, and I didn't. I got complacent, like "oh, it'll be okay...."

So now I feel horrible. I'm angry and I have guilt.

You hit the nail on the head. Although they are not using pointy hoods, German Shepherds, and fire hoses, I recognized how the Left is still operating true to form. I had made this mental connection a while ago. I didn't want to say it for rather obvious reasons.

Baldwin on a late night show outright calling for violence against Hyde. Socialists acting like savages when protesting WTO meetings. Conservative commentators at universities being assaulted with pies or salad dressing. Yeah, pastries and condiments they were, but they just as soon could have been weapons. Same principle applies. Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson threatened by the Soul Patrol. He's written about it. And these are very brief Cliff Notes to the nastiness and violence.

So I'm glad you see the same connection. I'm very glad because that just proves that I'm not crazy after all. I may be a little weird, but I ain't crazy. ;-)

When you know history, you immediately recognize the tactics. This is nothing new.

Nothing against doctors, but most of them don't make very good politicians.

Dr. Coburn(R) newly elected Senator from Oklahoma, may not be a good politician, but he will make a He11 of a legislator. Already in trouble with the leadership. He is not a go along to get along guy, honered his promise to term limit himself from the house.

Not that it matters now, but hypothetically what if the entire body of Christ had prayed for Frist the way we prayed for W before the Nov. 04 election? Would this have turned out differently? Would the RINOs have softened?

It's easy to level our anger at Frist, but he must have been under heavy attack spiritually. Mere humans can't withstand that for very long.

Warfare is draining, and I got lulled into thinking it wasn't necessary, or that I could put if off till Tuesday (tomorrow).

Does anyone know if there were "filibuster prayer threads?"

I am asking that any information about my address or phone number be removed from any political action or campaign fund raising associated with you or the Republicans.

Why waste all those prepaid envelopes, don't you have some bricks you don't need?

There is absolutely no basis whatsoever for applying any sort of geo-political context to our current filibuster controversy. To use the term 'socialist' to describe any action of the Democratic Party is no more justifiable than using the term 'fascist' to describe the actions of the Republicans. Socialism in a geopolitical context has no application whatsoever to American Politics. Socialism as the Europeans understand it simply cannot be found in the actions of either American political party, for better or for worse.
As to Owen and Rodgers-Brown, who are unabashedly pro-death penalty, anti-environmental protection, and anti-civil rights embodying any sort of Judeo-Christian philosophy, that opinion is very, very debatable, as is your opinion that Christianity and religious Judaism are the cultures that produced the tradition of law and history that underlies the foundation of America. The idea that the American left is working in any sort of conjunction with the 'Islamokazies' is profane and hypocritical. It is not an idea that warrants debate. Far more people on the left are bothered by these judges' opinions on civil rights, corporate regulation, doctors' rights to act in the best interest of their patients, and the environment than their religion. Although the intent of our nation's founders that church and state remain separate is quite clear, religion is simply not an issue compared to the others I have mentioned. None of the violent acts you cited have anything to do with our present filibuster controversy, whereas persecution of minorities during Jim Crow had much to do with desegregation. Do you honestly take anything actors say about politics seriously?

We have GOT to add an additional seat or three in the Senate in the 2006 and 2008 election cycles. That is vital.

Looks like we need to redo the ones we put in last time, for all the good they are. Be sure and only support RINOs that can win like Arnold so we won't get driver's licenses for illegals....Oh never mind.
