Actually, Benedict Arnold was a truely heroic patriot and military officer, before a political slight led to his treason. McCain was the pampared offspring of a senior officer who's only claim to brilliance involved serving as a POW, and nearly blowing up his own aircraft carrier (SS Forester: he killed 132 and wounded 62 more - by accidentally launching a missile) . His military service, while genuine, has been much overhyped.
