The Dems dodged a bullet today and they darned well know it. They came *this* close to losing everything, all of their judicial power, for the next thirty years. It may yet happen, but will happen more slowly and at a later date (unless the Dems decide to be stupid and go right back to filibustering in a few months).

We should be cheering the day the Democraps dodged a bullet and avoided losing everything during total annihilation?

You're missing my point -- look at *which* Dems went for this: they're all vulnerable. They will want to make sure to at least be seen to be holding up their end, or they're toast next election. Don't expect to see lots of Dem filibustering from now on. We have to be smart about this -- provide conservative candidates, but vet them thoroughly so the Dems can't trump up anything on them (or use a racial PR poison pill like nominating someone like Janice Brown). Remember, if the Dems are seen to filibuster for no reason, these vulnerable Dem senators lose. From that standpoint, they *had* to deal, and they *have* to hold up their end of the deal. If we're smart and diligent in our vetting process, we can get our judges through.

I'm not happy about the RINOs -- I would have preferred to seem them not cave, but some of them are vulberable, too. The only solution is to try to replace them with the real deal, but in places like ME that's nigh impossible.

We'll still roll over the Dems with respect to judges, but it won't be the type of victory where we get them all at once in the space of a month. It will be a slow grind.
