"the Rinos have commited to voting agisnt the rule change no matter what the democrats do."
No, no, no, they haven't! Dear God in Heaven, why are people so insistent on reading what is not there? They have agreed to do this as long as the Dems keep up their end of the deal, which is to not overuse the filibuster as they've been doing. If the Dems start filibustering like crazy again after these three, bang, deal over, and we can go back to the nuke option. The signatories themselves have made this point clear already!
WOULD THE HOTHEADS HERE PLEASE SWITCH TO DECAF AND STOP PANICKING!
The Dems dodged a bullet today and they darned well know it. They came *this* close to losing everything, all of their judicial power, for the next thirty years. It may yet happen, but will happen more slowly and at a later date (unless the Dems decide to be stupid and go right back to filibustering in a few months).

Judge Pickering on H&C says it's a win for the GOP and the two we lost may not be lost at all as they may indeed get an up or down vote. He said the dems knew they were in a bind and had little alternative. This is all too confusing but if I were to trust my instincts I don't see it as a win. Frist et. al. have been telling us for months that ALL NOMINEES DESERVE AN UP OR DOWN VOTE. Anything short of that is a no win, IMHO.

We should be cheering the day the Democraps dodged a bullet and avoided losing everything during total annihilation?

What do you mean?? The Dims are "allowing" votes on 3 of the 7 judges, and the RINOs like McLame are acting like this is a victory?? No way. The President deserves an up or down vote on ALL of his nominees.

The repubs had a chance to change history and end 60 years of democrat domination in the Senate. Instead they chose political correctness which in and of itself is defeat.
The detonation of the nuke option is no longer a done deal as the RINO's have shown they are unreliable and cannot be counted on when push comes to shove.
