Announce Filibuster Compromise
Smartski! PFFFT! :)
I have on occasion. I myself use it all the time. It's just common courtesy to all involved, netiquette, if you will.
The birds are singing here. I'm just waiting for Fox and Friends! May as well just stay up at this point.
I have to get some sleep or I'd go ahead and stay up with you two, but I have way too much packing to do and the helpers are arriving at 11:00AM. It's quarter to three! Geeeeeez.
OMG. You're moving? tomorrow??
I'd come help if I lived near you! Good luck and get some sleep!
NO, not tomorrow! YIKES. But way too soon for my liking! I have the feeling the truck will leave without a whole lot of stuff. I'm to the point now, where I am just throwing away a lot more than I'm packing.
We moved 9 months ago and STILL don't have much of our stuff. The moving company lost it and still have not compensated us.
Make a list and check it twice. We don't even know half of what we lost.
Well, like you yourself stated, it's time to hit the sack and get some sleep. I sleep to fight another day. I'm definitely a proponent of directing my comments, sarcasms, etc. directly to the person I am speaking with/about. That's just my personal style. No need to go through third parties, although it humors me, as it is a public forum, and everyone sees both the direct comments as well as the indirect ones, so nothing said is really hidden about anyone at any time. Good nite, sleep tight, and don't let the bedbugs bite.
I probably better get a few ZZZ's in, or my feet will be dragging around later when I take my grandmother to her senior citizens meeting after lunch.
Warner has been embracing the democratic party for several years now.
Depends. That's what the "ping" page is for. For example. If someone said something about me later, I wouldn't see it, unless they pinged me to it, not pinging me to that post would be akin to talking about me behind my back. That's all it amounts to. Good night.
I think Warner being one of the seven annoys me more than even McCain. Warner should know better, but he's what, 78 now, and feels he can now do or say anything he wants, as he most likely won't run again. Too bad though, that he has to take his party down with him.
Disagree. Warner, like McCain, embraces himself every day when he looks at himself in the full length mirror. I will say this much about Warner, he's been a strong advocate of the military for years, and it's not by accident he chairs the committee he's on.
"How's "SENATOR Alan Keys" doing ? ;^)"
I wouldn't know, as now I am stuck with Obama, thanks to people like you who hated Keyes. And our State of Illinois is now stuck with him for 6 years. I hope Keyes is doing well in whatever he is doing, and if you think our being stuck with Obama is a step up from Keyes, then you are no conservative. Oh, and of course we have Durbin too. Illinois is doomed.
"Once again, an Ohio RINO is involved. Sad."
I guess embracing yourself in the mirror is a prerequisite for politicians. Warner supporting the US Military is one of his few remaining good points.
Warners current term has been the furthest to the left of any of them. Ive had some correspondence from him that sounded like it came from Senator Dianne Feinsteins desk. One in particular comes to mind, when I questioned his support of the assault weapons ban. He replied that it has been proven to save lives. When I again wrote and asked for some data to back up the claim, nothing was forthcoming. It was the first time his office failed to answer my query.
I could have understood if his explanation had something to do with the give and take of politics bit it didnt.
Fight to win or do not fight at all.
GOP could learn from you on this.
I agree. This is a pathetic display of ego and lack of loyalty on the part of seven sorry senators.
I'm voting Libertarian. It doesn't seem to matter if the Republicans win since the Democrats still run things. For years, I've been thinking, "I'd vote for the Libertarian if I thought they could win, and I wasn't stealing a vote from the lesser of the Democrat/Republican evils."
Not anymore.

Understand that no party is going to fit your needs entirely. I'm a registered Libertarian, but even the Libbies get a bit extreme for my tastes at times. Some parties are one issue (the Green Party for example) with no real platform for anything else. There are also a few which are communist or socialist in disguise.
I just fear that far too many are going to abandon the electoral process entirely because of the human sacrifices made yesterday. Doing so would be a major mistake. I believe it could be playing into the hands of the liberal socialists. Far better I think to hang in there and fight the good fight..whether it be switching parties, working within your party to boot out the wimps and weenies and installing those who are more in line with your views, or whatever. Giving up would give the socialists the upper hand and having them in power would be a major calamity for this country.
