Have only scanned in skips and hops but I don't think so.

I'll ask a stoopit question: why are they scheduled to go through the overnight?

It's by unanimous consent of the leadership. So, the only reason I can think of is that both sides believe the matter is important enough that it warrants drawing public attention to it.

Miguel Estrada works for me.

You can bet that whoever GWB sends up as a SCOTUS nominee will bring cheers from his supporters and boos from the 'Rats (or booze in the case of Ted).

I like Scalia. He is brilliant and is a true constructionist. But Thomas or Estrada would be fine.

Maybe the over night is to keep someone out of the bar.

YIKES! Is he twelve years old, or what?

No, she is.

Hey, Leahy. Did you ever hear, "You snooze, you lose?" All of you idiot Senators have been overlooking the Constitution for years. Now that you've been called out on it, deal with it.

Rat Leahy knows the Republicans have the votes and is grasping straws in finding some peal away votes. He just requested the Majority Leader announce that all should vote their conscience but obviously the Rats have no conscience or they would vote up or down.

None of these Senate Republicans are solid anything.

Well, we know Montana isn't solid Republican; you sent a 'Rat back to the Senate. Thanks for nothing. If you had sent up a Republican, maybe this vote would not be as close. Not only didn't Montana do that; they have a defeatist Freeper. Great. Memo to you and all other defeatists: we'll prevail despite your predictions of doom.

I just got off the turnip truck. Did I miss anything important? The worm turned while you were gone.

And a cabbage head ate the worm &the turnip when no one was looking! :-)

I wish some enterprising Republican with a sense of adventure would short-sheet Byrd tonight. Just so the media would be forced to report Byrd's Sheet Problems.

I'm far from being defeatist. You refuse to live in reality.

One advantage of having Byrd in the Senate: If they run out of sheets for the cots, Byrd has plenty stashed in his office!

Here comes "It's all Bush's fault" from Leaky. "This President has politicized the process."
