Security guards this afternoon prevented angry Moslems from attacking Laura Bush as she tried to enter the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount. Television reporters said the Arabs almost reached Laura Bush before bodyguards repelled them. One Arab boy ran towards the president's wife but fled after a policeman shot over his head.
The Palestinian Authority (PA) agreed to allow Mrs. Bush to visit the Temple Mount despite concerns that her presence would be reported as part of her visit to Israel, implying Israeli sovereignty over the Jewish holy site.
She went to the Temple Mount after visiting the Western Wall (Kotel), where she put a note in cracks in the Wall, the holiest place of worship for Jews outside the site of the ancient Temples. Several people held up signs calling for the release of jailed intelligence expert Jonathan Pollard.
WARNING: This is a high volume ping list
See? THEY didn't care for her horse-jokes either. :)
LOL!!
Don't forget that Hillary was on kissing terms with these scum.
One has at least to give her credit for bravery in putting
herself through this.
My hat is off to her.
As to the Muslims, well.....
"Several people held up signs calling for the release of jailed intelligence expert Jonathan Pollard."
Him?
I imagine her husband isn't too thrilled about this. It has got to make him very nervous for her safety. But, she is a brave lady.
Oh, ya mean the incarcerated spy!
One Arab boy ran towards the president's wife but fled after a policeman shot over his head.
Sheesssh, aim low, worst you do is hit him in the groin.
Avoid them like the plague
Be aware of what is going on around you by staying in condition yellow.
Have a plan or two. (If not, a "Last Will & Testament will do.)
Corollary: No plan survives contact with the enemy.
Bring at least one gun (don't bring a knife).
Bring the biggest gun you can handle.
Bring friends (as friendly witnesses or fire support).*
Let close air support or artillery soften-up the target for you.
Make use of available cover.
Remember the difference between concealment and cover.
Don't get shot (Use cover to your advantage).
Place your shots well.
Pay attention to where your shots fall.
"Speed's fine, but accuracy is final."
Don't miss. (You can't miss fast enough to win.)
Never assume your opponent is out of ammo.
Bring lots of ammo.
In combat, you will be scared. You will have a tendency to shoot high. Be aware of this and aim low.
Eventually if you keep repeating it over and over and over it will become a religion of peace one day.
When is the First Lady due back. I want to know when I can relax over this.
HELLO?!?
Israel fought and decisively won defensive wars against the humans-on-two-legs in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973-74, 1982...
Does anyone here have any doubt whatsoever that the temple mount is Jewish territory subject to Israeli sovereignty?
Anybody?
Why the Israelis made any kind of an "religious accomodation" with the killer-cult is a baffling historical mystery.
Maybe the Israelis thought it would eliminate the possibility of constant mass murder attacks?
that was a joke...
And just think the democrats on the left in the United States wants the terrorist to win. Just think of how they will survive under Islamic Law, NOT.
Yeah.
True, The Temple Mount is an active stone throwing zone. Its expected. The media tells us its harmless (a friend keeps a thrown stone on his piano, actually a gear, weighs about 6 pounds, hardly harmless), of Israeli forces are trained to respond with minimal force, a shot over the head, perhaps, or rubber bullets.
A week or so ago a grenade, no bigger than a stone, was thrown at the President. The Palestinians are know to have explosives. What was the policeman thinking and what the *ell were the Secret Service doing? How can you get away with throwing a "stone" at the First Lady? She was in Israel, a place where civilians are subject to sudden and random violence, not confronted by a pie thrower at a press conference on the White House lawn.
This kid should be dead, bad publicity or not.
There's a place for the Palestinians... Jordan!
