Either they have choreographed this appearance to make him seem more normal (and what an effort that will be) OR Russert is going to go after him so that the DNC people will have an excuse to replace him.

I think it will be the latter, but then I live in the land of wishful thinking! LOL!

Maybe not. In the 5 minutes of Capitol Gang that I was able to endure last night Dean was discussed and the support for him could not have been more tepid. Damning with faint praise comes to mind. Ted Kennedy kept point out how he "travels alot." Heaven forfend that they put someone effective in his place, but I suspect Bill and Hillary! will make that call.

Apparently the MSM and their DNC bosses don't realize that the new Democrat base loves the vitriol. They cut off Dean (campaign 2004 redux) and part of that support goes packing.

Catching up but will make a quick comment anyway. Another option I think the Democrats may consider is to add someone to work with Dean, having co-chairmen. Dean to continue appealing to the radical base of the Democrat party and someone who would be able to work better with moderate donors and the public at large.
