A Manchester man who went to retrieve his two daughters from a party at a University of New Hampshire fraternity was arrested early yesterday morning after he pulled a handgun and told revelers to "back off."

Go dad!
I was incensed until I learned it was "frat boys."
Thought it was "fat boys."
Gotta update my eyeglass prescription.
They were at the point where their dad was surrounded to prevent them from going with him.
There is no consent if the person has been drinking.
Still, kidnapping is a federal crime. The frat boys, the town, and their keystone cops would seem to me to be at some risk of some serious stuff here.
No, the father burst in demanding to know who was hosting an underage drinking party. This is when the frat guys allegedly surrounded him- which I assume 99% of people would do when a raving lunatic they don't know confronts them.
Actually there probably would have been some dead frat boys after that one. Texas fathers do not take lightly to their children being snatched.
Whoever took them can be charged with kidnapping ~ doesn't matter if the kidnapper is a minor.
Now, the question comes up about what should the dad do next time this happens? Well, for one thing, he should NOT reveal that he's armed until he really needs to use his piece. Otherwise why bother with a "permit to carry a concealed weapon". We do "open carry" around here if we wish, but you lose the advantage of surprise every single time. Of course folks are always very polite around you!
Not sure why the dad would be "dead meat". He said he had a permit for the weapon. There's no reason to not believe him.
Don't you know what happens when you assume? 99% of people would probably ask him to leave -- not surround him and prevent him from doing so.
This particular fraternity is described as one not recognized by the University. I'm guessing it's not on or adjacent to University property, so the gun restrictions wouldn't apply.
This is N'ampshire, not UK.
GOOD dad!!
See #46.
Wait a minute. Giving someone a ride to a party- even a dive, and then refusing to give them a ride back is kidnapping?

Yup. That's where my quote came from. It says the age of consent is 16 unless you are the boss, guardian or jailer. Frat boys are none-of-the-above so 16 should apply.
One good thing about the illegal aliens swarming through the country is that most of them really like guns. No doubt they will be able to prevail over the reluctance of existing anti-gun legislators to allow greater ownership of guns.
Yes, you are holding them against their will if, in fact, you let them into the house!
He'd best move here before those yahoos up there try to put him on trial.
