Web Archives of atlasbooks.com/glsen:

take a look at our Book Sale!

Welcome to the Bookstore, GLSEN's one-stop shopping place for those committed to ending anti-gay bias in schools. We are pleased to present you with a redesigned and newly expanded catalog for the 2001-2002 school year. In addition to its fresh look, this year's Bookstore catalog contains over 25 new resources that will aid you in your efforts to build more accepting school communities.

You will find the new GLSEN resources like Ending Anti-Gay Bias in Schools: A Training of Trainers Manual and the GLSEN Workbook, which helps community members to assess their schools in the area of policy, programming and practice. Hatred in the Hallways offers the first comprehensive look at the human rights abuses suffered by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students at the hands of their peers. Three new anthologies are the first of their kind: Revolutionary Voices, the first creative resource by and for queer and questioning youth, presents the writings and artwork of over 50 people ages 14-26; Transforming Families collects over 30 personal stories from transgendered people and their families; Troubling Intersections of Race and Color examines the unique experiences of students who are both queer and of color. Growing Up Gay and Lesbian in a Catholic High School offers perspectives and analysis on youth in religious institutions. And the latest videos - One of Them and In Their Words promise to spark classroom discussion and prompt viewers to examine their own responses and provide a safe school environment for all students.

The viewpoints expressed in GLSEN Bookstore materials reflect those of the authors/filmmakers, and do not necessarily represent those of GLSEN.

GLSEN is committed to providing affordable resources through its Bookstore. Prices of non-GLSEN produced materials reflect publisher/distributor guidelines.
