Palestinians opened fire towards seven Breslav Hasidim who had entered the site of Joseph's Tomb in Nablus early Thursday morning without coordinating the visit with the IDF in advance.
The seven Jews arrived in Nablus by illegally bypassing a number of roadblocks, Army Radio reported.
Security forces who were alerted to the scene managed to rescue the Hasidim, who were brought in for questioning. Police requested that their remand be extended.
In related developments, OC Central Command Maj. Gen. Yair Naveh met with residents from the Yitzhar settlement in the West Bank as well as with local rabbis in order to discuss the tense relationship between the IDF and settlers, Army Radio reported.

WARNING: This is a high volume ping list
I was thinking along the same lines as your posted comment.
I find this attack odd though, I thought that Joseph's tomb was considered holy by Muslims as well as Jews and Christians.
And the US congressional resolution calling for respect for Jewish holy places.
They give lip service to Moses and Jesus
but their works belie them...
If what they did to the church in Bethlehem is any example.
They used the church as their toilet and the bible as toilet
paper
There is holy and then there is holy
Muslims are all about playing the victim while selling
children into slavery
imo
No, they hate every Jew born after Abraham. Abraham was the father of both Issac and Ishmael, and while the Jews are decended from Issac ( through Jacob and Joseph ), muslims are decended through Ishmael.
So it's understandable that those savages would want to destroy any historical mention of grandson of their originator's rival.
Mark
No press outrage
Really. I didn't see or hear anything from the Congress, the White House, the mainstream media, or the UN expressing outrage for the desecration. Oh, wait a minute, silly me, it wasn't a muslim place that was desecrated.....I forgot, Congress, the White House, the mainstream media, and the UN don't give a crap about Jewish or Christian holy places being desecrated.
