Text Credit to Ken5050: DAY-1 THREAD
Welcome, all you Freepers, to the continuing C-span soap operas about judicial nominations. "The Guiding SEARCHLIGHT, " "As the SENATE Turns, "One NOMINATION to Live" "GERIATRIC Hospital" (for all you Byrd and Lautenberg fans out there). Follow along with us, as the Dems raise the level of histrionics, bloviation, pontification, and all around bad acting to new highs, er, lows...
I'd like to see Cronyn or Kyl chair the judicial committee.
Specter has to go.
I believe Frist said that the vote on Monday would be some sort of procedural vote with the cloture vote coming Tuesday. I could be wrong.
Did you miss Santorum? He was great as well! I think all our guys and One gal did outstanding work today!
What can I say, I'm a badge freak.
Where do you live, hoosiermama? I am in Evansville and the winds are blowin and the sirens are too.
youre right
We need to not see each other so much; we're beginning to post alike. :-)
Cornyn
Geez.
Jackson COunty ....Was in Seymour.....It's past now, but it's a doozer.
Yes, we did; we kicked some serious BUTT today, with Allen, Burr, Iskason of Georgia, and Santorum taking the point!
They just kept coming back to the floor to contradict the lies the Dems told.
A wrongful death lawsuit has also been filed in Los Angeles Superior Court against Maltzer and the Planned Parenthood clinic where Maltzer performed the abortion on Diana Lopez February 27, 2002.
Lopez went to the clinic for what was to be a two-day dilation and evacuation (D&E) procedure to terminate her pregnancy of 18 weeks. According to CDHS findings, Lopez developed post-operative bleeding a day later, was rushed to a hospital, and died later on February 28.
The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office concluded that the cause of death was a hemorrhage due to "traumatic anterior cervical perforation" while Lopez underwent the D&E procedure. In simpler form, she bled to death due to a punctured cervix.
Maltzer and Planned Parenthood of Los Angeles referred comment to their attorney, Gary Fields, who refused to discuss the case.

Monday is also to be debate. There will be a vote at 17:30 on Monday, which will be on a motion to instruct members attendance (presumably attendance for Tuesday or later).
More details will be provided tomorrow, regarding the planned procedure, timing for votes, etc.
I think Monday will also be mosty debate. A redeaux of today, more or less.
Right!
Do you know if anyone has ever compiled all the Dems' dire predictions during the campaign when they were saying "This election is all about who will appoint judges for the next 4 years!". I know they talked about it a lot, saying that the president appoints the judges and, if you don't vote for us, there'll be no way to stop him putting "extremists" on the courts.
it's coming my way! I am in Fort Wayne!
Keep your head down out there. I think we accomplished quite a bit. Lies were countered relentlessly and our guys fought the good fight. I need Frist to get on with this because I'm not getting anything done :)
He like to read the news, but is getting annoyed when he tells me about something he read in the news, and I say,"yeah, there was a thread on FR about that the other day! heehee.
Geesh......I just added him!
