Tom Coburn is a great guy--I didn't hear his first remarks but he is very conservative and has already gotten in trouble with a lot of the pubbies because he came out during the debate about the budget and said it was TOO much and they should slash it---
He is also up on ethics charges because he wants to keep his OB/GYN office open while he is a senator---the dems are not liking that...
I don't see why he can't keep his office open in this case, he is a doctor! Goodness! I like him! This is the most I have seen of him.
I like what he's saying now, I un-muted the tv to listen. He just really turned me off when he opened with the "partisan for the truth" stuff. I dunno why.
Yeah, but way I understood in an interview I saw of him was, that he wants to keep practicing to keep his skills sharp, otherwise he will lose them. Also, he also charges enough to keep the practice going and that is all. He also does a lot of charity with his practice. He is not making a salary from his practice and I also heard they were going to review the rules to let him practice under those conditions, but I dont know what has happened since then. Which makes him the more remarkable. I tell you, this guy has potential, you keep an eye on him.
