Love it, C-SPAN soap operas!
How about Reid in "The Days of Our LIES"
Byrd, "The OLD and the SHEETLESS"
Boxer and Kerry, "The Bold and the BOTOXED"
The possibilities are endless.

Frist palns to allow 100 hours of debate...
Has he said that lately. I know he proposed that at one point as a reasonable number of hours before bringing things to a vote. That allows for each Senator to have one hour each should they take it and many wouldn't.

It means the dems will not filibuster any of these nominees after all. If the situation never gets to a loggerhead, there will be no call to clarify the rule.
Then, the dems would be free to assert that the filibuster is still available for SC nominees.

I wonder how many references to "checks and balances", the saucer, abuse of power, we will hear today?

Frist plans to allow 100 hours of debate... I think that WAS the deal, Reid didn't take it, we'll have to wait until they vote on cloture of Owen to see what Frist's plans are.

No, the 30 hours was an example on my part. The 100 that you mentioned is probably correct. Now, help me: how do 100 hours translate into days? Nine to ten days on my count. Anyway, if Frist allows 100 hours, the dems can't say they weren't given ample time for debate.

Expect Chief-of-pork Sen. Byrd to stray off into a history of the ROMAN senate.

Mitch on Tony's show. Says at least five Dems believe all these Judges deserve an up or down vote, that includes future nominees. He must be talking of the red state Dems.

If they do start the nuclear option, can someone ping me? I will be in the office all day and might miss it.
