What is it about Frist's position that these idiots don't get?

I think they get it perfectly thus the behind the scenes blathering. Never forget that this maybe a part of the Sen. Frist strategy to allow the debate to continue for a time while allowing them to think that compromise maybe possible. When at some point in time he has decided that debate has been carried on long enough and all have had a chance to say their piece, then call the point of order...

Who knows.... just speculating on my part.

RINO Olympia Snowe's bio page has a snippet of info that there is a grass roots effort underway for her to run for president in '08.

Fortas was held up by BOTH parties...he was a crook!

The breakdown in the Senate at that time was something like 64 Dems and 36 Republicans. It was a bipartisan "filibuster". For five days. LBJ got the message and withdrew Fortas, who subsequently resigned from the Supreme Court under an ethics cloud. He was a corrupt POS.

The Dems treat the Constitution (and judicial filibusters isn't even in it) the way NewsWeak lies about the military treating the Koran.

Maybe the Senate is in peril.
Maybe the House is in peril.

In this day and age with high technology and communications, do we really need full-time Congressinal representation in DC? All of the Senators and everyone in the House should return to their districts and home state and run their office from there. In the event a vote is required, they could do that via teleconference. Why spend the money for an outdated Congress? They need to catch up with the times. Think about seeing your rep in the grocery store and bugging them about a bill. Think we'd have cradle to grave tax-feeders? No way. There would be a mass exodus of retirements and both parties would implode. Lobbyists would cry in their Chablis over the loss of power. Think about it.

Okay, so who's with me on starting a movement?
