Welcome, all you Freepers, to the continuing C-span soap operas about judicial nominations. "The Guiding SEARCHLIGHT, " "As the SENATE Turns, "One NOMINATION to Live" "GERIATRIC Hospital" (for all you Byrd and Lautenberg fans out there). Follow along with us, as the Dems raise the level of histrionics, bloviation, pontification, and all around bad acting to new highs, er, lows...
"I am furious that they are thinking of dumping Saad.
I am STILL pi$$ed about Estrada. That might do me in."
How about they give up Saad, the Dems agree to no filibuster and Estrada gets to come up for an up or down vote when the Supreme court job opens up?
I need drugs. Seriesly.
I thought Brit would end tonight's show with Dingy Harry's "paramour of virtue" as the funny-bit. Instead he ran the prez from last night's affair. Dingy's paramour would have been much funnier, IMO!
I'm not able to follow today -- tied up in Mexico and only on for a second -- what's the short version of today's events?
More visuals: 2703-1
Works for me since they started it!
That would be like chumming the waters. It would only entice the Democrats into wanting more.

My brain can't handle that complex deal......LOL.
What's 2703-1? I was watching Brit.
Schumer is a clear and concise speaker. What I'm hearing from him today is "Hillary's Words". She was VERY verbal at the beginning of this. The silence is very telling.
Chuck is a liar. Frist didn't call for a vote today because he is evidencing good faith in allowing extended debate. This is a PR battle in front of the American people and he won't give the Democrats room to claim they didn't have time to say their piece.
Now we're dealing in "IF"s. Schmuckie
WASHINGTON - More than a dozen senators trying to head off a showdown over judicial filibusters failed to work out a deal Wednesday to confirm some of President Bush's controversial judicial appointments while rejecting others.
Let's hope Brit has a chance later not only to play Reid's paramour remark WITH Cheney's or Lynn's response! That would be must see TV.
No.
None of these candidates deserves to be abandoned.
Yeah, I'm convinced this is nothing but PR for the Dems because, secretly, they WANT a 51 majority vote for judges in the rules for when, if ever, they get the Senate and WH again.
Salazar!
I just turned on the Senate C-Span channel and watched Murray and Schumer for as much as I could take. What's the deal? Why isn't this over already? Why HASN'T Frist called for a vote? How much longer will we have to put up with the tyranny of the minority?
And three fourths of DEMS would vote for it if they voted the way their constituents wanted! Most people are as SICK of this crap as we are. DEMS are betting their entire future on this issue.
What is Schmuckie talking about! Rubber Stamp! LOL you got it BOY!
