The dems need to look at a map. They don't even represent the majority of counties in most of their states. I resent them trying to toss me into the number they claim to represent. They could care less if eastern washington sank into the abyss other than we help keep their liberal policies afloat with our taxes.
And the moral of Baucus's history lesson is-Republicans lead; Democrats follow (or wallow, as in self-pity.)

when I look back to see that ruth bader ginsburg was approved 96-3, I don't worry that a future republican minority is going to lose the ability to fillibuster judges - they wouldn't use it anyway.
Or to be married to any one of them. Can't believe that there are women desperate enough to marry one and look at him across the breakfast table for years until the next desperate woman comes along and rescues her.

In all my Senate/House watching years, I don't think I've ever heard anyone as neutrally boring as Baucus.

Teddy is gone and when I listen to this Baucus guy all I hear is "Blah Blah Blah Blah". Oh, thank goodness he has yielded the floor. YAWN!

Rush mentioned it during his show. She gave a speech to over a 100? editors dictating how to address this story. that they were not properly explaining this to the public and outlined what they should highlight.
