Didn't see this posted yet. Since Mae was apparently not told of Beth Gaddy's treachery (per full article), it would seem likely that Ms. Gaddy might keep the ill-gotten gains.

She was starved, denied water for 14 days. That's what did her in. Left her weakened, her granddaughter had her starved.

It couldn't have done an 81 year old person any good whatsoever to be starved and dehydrated for 2 weeks.
Imagine how that weakened her.
To: supercat
Since she obviously put the lie to the grandaughters claims by recovering and speaking, could she be charged with attempted murder?

"Since Mae was apparently not told of Beth Gaddy's treachery (per full article), it would seem likely that Ms. Gaddy might keep the ill-gotten gains."Read closer.
""Although she was cognizant, speaking, sitting up, eating/drinking and communicating until her last day alive, her family had decided not to tell her of the terrible ordeal she had endured at Hospice LaGrange until she was discharged from the nursing home. She was spared this final pain by God," Mullinax said in a press statement.

Since she was died in the nursing home, I would think that would mean she was not discharged and thus not told. Did I misread it?

Rest in peace, Grandma. It's pretty hard for anyone to survive starvation, dehydration, and massive amounts of narcotics, nevermind a person in their 80's. I hope that the greedy granddaughter doesn't inherit a dime.

Death is hard enough to take when natural, but to have to survive a loved one's intentional death is horrific. I'm glad that the Lord took her instead of Beth Gaddy.
Rest in peace, Miss Mae. Our love is with you.

That's what I got- Beth Gaddy is going to get lots of money.
It won't do her any good in hell, though.

Is this what it's coming to? When someone who is old and sick declines water and food...we're supposed to force feed and hydrate them? I want an honest answer. Are we going to force old sick people who are obviously circling the drain to live to satisfy the sick wishes of total strangers?

LOL. You ignorance of this specific case is breathtaking. Please examine yourself for suicidal tendencies and death wishes. Many project these tendencies onto others and think others also don't value life and shouldn't value life.

Perhaps you should inform yourself. Mrs. Magouirk had a living will that said she WANTED food and hydration. Her granddaughter who had power-of-attorney (not to make health decisions) got the medical establishment to pull her feeding tube DESPITE what Mrs. Magouirk's living will said. That is an honest answer in regard to the circumstances in which this lady found herself. She was rescued before she died by her nephew and her sister (not exactly "total strangers".)
Are you in favor of snuffing disabled people despite their wishes if they are old and become ill to satisfy your "sick wishes?" I want an honest answer from you.

Perhaps you should inform yourself. Mrs. Magouirk had a living will that said she WANTED food and hydration. Her living will did not match the Georgia model, and was ambiguous as to what is being requested, but her condition did not merit removal of food and water under in her condition regardless.

I hope that the greedy granddaughter doesn't inherit a dime. We'll probably never know how much she inherits, will we? Isn't that "private" information in the "open" everything-immoral-goes society?
