Unless I'm very confused public stadiums, schools, etc. have been rented out to religious groups for many decades.
When they rent the stadium, it stops being a public facility for the period of the rental. Renting out a space does not imply any endorsement of the group renting it.

ever notice that "diversity" has the same root as "diversion".

Youre inviting parents to bring their kids and you have this going on, on campus. Oh the horrors of having Promise Keepers on campus as opposed to MTV spring break, keg parties, gay lesbian trans-gender conventions and whatever else the left deems appropriate. It would be very interesting to get a list of campus events at the University of Arkansas, just for the contrast.

It's the typical "diversity" of the left - ban those who don't adhere to the viewpoints of the far left.

"I dont think this singleminded group should have their meeting here. Its not an all-encompassing group and we are promoting diversity at the university," said Marian Kunetka, an archeologist at the Arkansas Archeological Survey at the University of Arkansas. Translations: "We believe in diversity through exclusion."

Theres no way that competing viewpoints could get the stadium; they wouldnt have enough people here," added Wanda StephensSo, go down to Stuckey's and reserve a corner booth, Wanda. Spend a couple of hours trying to figure out why they have so many and you have so few.

Whoa .. NOW was still exist ? Where was NOW when Terry Schindler needed you heh.

Then they should just rent the stadium like PK does and hold their own anti-Christian rally. Sheesh That wouldn't be fair because those groups can't draw the same number of people- from the article !

I would recommend any man who has any interest in spiritual matters attend a PK weekend gathering. It is a life altering experience and if you are not the only one who doesn't need a spiritual boost or a refueling, then you will be refueled with the spirit of God by the time you walk out. You will keep referring back to the experience and people will ask you, without knowing where you were, what is different?

Tow the party line or else...

How about the football team?
They're a bunch of large, athletic guys, and all they care about is football. That doesn't sound very diverse to me.

Deep Ecology IS a recognized religion Egad!
and should be excluded from Public Forums.
Naw, I'm sure the small meeting room at the local library branch will hold them all! In fact, they're all probably public library employees, anyway :-).

After thinking about it longer, I've concluded that putting "now" and "cow" in the same sentence was deliberate, not a typso at all.

My Dad was a longtime member of the Promise Keepers. They are a fine, outstanding organisation that has done much to help men get their lives back on track.
I doubt this tree-hugging leftist twit really understands what the Promise Keepers are all about.

the OMNI Center for Peace, Justice and Ecology And just exactly what does this have to do with Ecology?
The leftists always say if you don't like someones "free speech", don't listen. They don't practice what they preach.
Would these moonbat loons object to a muslime group gathering at at their University to promote "jihad"?
