Reminds me of an old Mad Magazine bit where they spoofed movie ads, showing how they manipulated negative reviews into sounding like positive reviews. Thus a review which said: "This movie is a brilliant example of the decline of Joe Blow's acting ability. His ineptitude is truly stunning" becomes in the movie ad: " . . . brilliant . . . stunning . . . "

To continue the paraphrase:

"Seldom has a reviewer felt such a desire to smash the producer in the mouth, and hit the director in the eye"

becomes

"A...Smash...Hit"

Kinda like Michael Moore, when you think about it.
